Aside from the latest Battlestar Galactica news or bargains on life-size replica USCM Aliens armor, few things set geeks' hearts aflutter like a nice helping of Summer Glau. Thankfully Summer, current star of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is making a guest appearance on one the nerdiest shows on television.
The actress will play herself in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory, says EW.com. According to the site, Big Bang stars Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj will be taking a train ride to San Francisco (yippee!) but freak out when they discover Summer--their favorite actress--is on the same train. The episode is scheduled to air March 9.
The beautiful Glau is probably best known to the sci-fi world as River Tam in Joss Whedon's Firefly, and, as previously stated, stars in Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as Cameron, the hottest Terminator model yet.
This seems like a great move on everybody's part, and should lead to a hilarious episode.
Speaking of hilarious, here's a video of some dork interviewing Summer at last year's WonderCon.
