Here's Your First Look at the Supernatural Spin-Off Wayward Sisters

Sheriff Jodi Mills (Kim Rhodes) & Co. will potentially carry on in their own series, Wayward Sisters, and we have a sneak peek at what's in store.

New photos, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, show the sisters in action alongside Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as they take on the evil creatures lurking about in the backdoor pilot of the Supernatural spin-off. The episode is slated to air Thursday, Jan. 18 at 8/7c on the CW.

The spin-off centers on a group of troubled women -- led by Jimmy Novak's daughter, Claire (Kathryn Love Newton) -- who were orphaned by supernatural forces. With help from Rhodes and Sheriff Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster), they'll train to become one serious demon-fighting crew bound together by sisterhood. Unlike its parent series, which finds the Winchester brothers on the road, Wayward Sisters will be set in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Supernatural Casts Danneel Ackles, Jensen's Wife, in Season 13

In addition to Rhodes, Newton and Buckmaster, the project also stars Katherine Ramdeen as Alex Jones, Mills' first adopted daughter; Clark Backo as in Patience Turner, the teenage granddaughter of Missouri Moseley; and Yadira Guevara-Prip as Kaia Nieves, a newcomer who can travel between worlds in her dreams.

No... just no... how long is this going to last? and for this they're taking money away from Supernatural, i was fine the girls appearing in random episdes, we've seen Jodie Mills quite a lot already, this story is about Sam and Dean NOT the females and i'm all for strong female characters but Supernatural = A story about Sam and Dean's journey to fight the evil of the world, doing a spin off about the girls would be losing sight of what it's about and now i'm worried for Supernatural, it's bad enough other shows right now are crap and they don't last past a couple seasons no more...  i guess i jinxed it by hoping Supernatural would be the only show they wouldn't mess with.

But the mothership SPN will still kill 90% of female characters?

Amazing news! WAY better idea for a spin-off than what they previously wanted to do.

So the CW finally listened to the fans? We've been asking for this exact spin off for like 5 years. Bout damn time.

They sort of did this already on Supernatural. That bad guy had all of the teens orphaned by supernatural forces out hunting monsters. This was back when Dean had the Mark of Cain. Sounds like it could be cool with Sheriff Jodie at the helm. Will this one actually happen, though? The last spin-off got its pilot but was canceled before going to series.
