What to watch on Thursday, June 16.
And then we came to Thursday, which is the post-dinner, pre-dessert part of the week. Don't you just love the anticipation? Me neither. Hang in there, kitten!
So You Think You Can Dance
Two of the kids get kicked off tonight. Who didn't YOU vote for?? The tapper? The Russian one? The funky/cool hottie? We'll see what happens! Also, Jessie J will perform a song or whatever.
Here is a new episode of your favorite show. Admit it, you LOVE this thing. Haha just kidding, nobody does. Anyway, it is NEW, so it's got that going for it. In tonight's romantic anthology, a man's fool-proof system to avoid post-date relationships gets tested by some hot lady he probably falls in love with. Don't you love plotlines that have never, ever happened in real life? I hope someone enters a room and says, "I came as soon as I heard."
ORIGINAL MOVIE, 10pm, MTV
The Truth Below
Director Scott Glosserman had a cult hit in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, and here he is proving his TV movie mettle with this pressure-cooker thriller about four teens whose car becomes trapped under an avalanche. Will their secrets and drama tear them apart? Or will it be the frostbite and starvation? I'm going with Yeti. (I don't actually know if there's Yeti in this, but most TV movies could benefit from having one.)
12am, Cartoon Network
I love this show and all, but in my town there are currently billboards everywhere with Rob Corddry's horrifying clown face staring down at us in super creepy lighting. I don't like those! Anyway, in tonight's episode of this show (that I love!), Corddry's character gets evicted from his apartment for being a clown. Sorry, but I am on the landlord's side in this situation.
9pm, Investigation Discovery
True Crime with Aphrodite Jones
Tonight America's favorite nosy loudmouth white lady with the name of a blaxploitation superhero revisits the case of Betty Broderick, the socialite who murdered her ex-husband and his new wife back in 1989. Hopefully Betty Broderick will break her legendary silence about whether Meredith Baxter-Birney portrayed her fairly in the TWO Lifetime movies made about the crime.
