TBS Axes My Boys

This isn't a huge surprise, but it's got to be disappointing for some. Deadline says TBS has finally pulled the plug on My Boys, the little comedy that could, after four seasons of what I'll call above-average laughs.

The show's future was certainly cloudy, but there was a sliver of hope that it would return for a fifth season. At least, there was enough hope to force some of its stars to pull out of other jobs. Sucks for them.

Jordana Spiro, who played P.J., was a hot commodity in the off-season as network vultures planned to pick her up to headline their own shows. She was booked for Love Bites, the anthology rom-com that included Ugly Betty standout Becki Newton, but was forced to quit as it interfered with her My Boys contract. A similar thing happened to Kyle Howard (Bobby), who was booked for Perfect Couples.

TBS canceled My Boys today. TBS ordered 90 (not a typo) episodes of Ice Cube's Are We There Yet? in August. Fair?

My Boys fans, grieve in the comments section, below.
