TBS is still trying to get a foothold on the original-programming game, but one show proving that the network can get it done is the comedy My Boys. The program will continue to do so, given that TBS has officially given My Boys a third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Let's drink to season three!
My Boys began its run in 2006 with season one split into halves and totaling 22 episodes. Season two began this past June and was shortened to nine episodes. Season three is scheduled to begin in early 2009 with another nine episodes.
In the comedy, Jordana Spiro stars as PJ Franklin, a female sportswriter in sports-soaked Chicago who spends much of her time hanging around her male friends, drinking, playing poker, or doing other tomboyish activities. The show's banter between the friends is its strength, with rib-tickling insults thrown back and forth among the guys. Also starring in the show are comedian Jim Gaffigan and Reid Scott.
My Boys is one of television's more underrated comedies and a great cornerstone for TBS to dive into the whole original-programming thing. Good to have you back!

Great news. This show truly is underrated, and in my opinion, it really began to shine in the second season. I can't wait for the third!

I'm excited to hear this (or I guess read it? haha) anyway, when the show first came out, I watched it and loved it but I was worried about it. All the episodes aired in a week or so. I am glad to see its made it this far, and will continue on.

I also really hope the love triangle is resolved within the first episode or two. I love this show and can't wait for it to come back. I really wish it was more though. It seems like it barely started, then bam, the season finale was there. Still really looking forward to it though.

This is great news. I love this show. I like the love triangle thing, as long as it doesn't overwhelm the rest of the show. I LOVE Jim Gaffigan as Andy. :D
Agreed. The love triangle is ruining the show. This isn't Grey's Anatomy, people.
If it's like the last couple of episodes of Season 2, then yes. The show needs to stick to its element with PJ doing sports-related things while still having her social life with the guys. There's no need to do a love triangle with the two brothers.
