The 2008 Teen Choice Awards ceremony is airing tonight on Fox, but all the winners got their partying done last night. That's because the actual awards fest was held yesterday in Los Angeles, and is being edited down to a neat two-hour package for broadcast tonight at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central).
The ceremony was hosted by Hannah Montana herself, Miley Cyrus. Also performing at the event were dreamy teen trio Jonas Brothers and dance teams from America's Best Dance Crew.
The media was also on hand, and spilled the beans on who won what late last night. In other words, there will be plenty of spoilers below for those who want to watch the program without knowing who won the top prizes, so now would be a good time to stop reading.
The 10th annual Teen Choice Awards has a whopping 63 categories to cover, two dozen of those being television related. In the TV categories, it's no surprise that the CW's Gossip Girl, which notched 14 nominations, was the show's big winner.
The show about primped-up and oversexed teens in Manhattan grabbed six awards: Choice TV Drama, Choice TV Actress Drama (Blake Lively), Choice TV Breakout Show, Choice TV Breakout Star Female (Lively), Choice TV Breakout Star Male (Chace Crawford), and Choice TV Villain (Ed Westwick).
Other multiple award winners went to NBC's Heroes (Choice TV Show Action Adventure, Choice TV Actress Action Adventure--Hayden Panettiere), Disney's Hannah Montana (Choice TV Show Comedy, Choice TV Actress Comedy--Miley Cyrus), The Hills (Choice TV Celebrity Reality, Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star--Lauren Conrad), and American Idol (Choice TV Reality Music Competition, Choice TV Male Reality/Variety Star--David Cook).

Where is Grey's Anatomy on the winner's list???? I know season four sucked, but anything is better than some sudsy, lame teen-girl drama Gossip Girl. & Smallville should've won the action-adventure stuff. This is why I watch the Emmy & Golden Globe Awards. They at least TRY to encompass all aspects of acting and writing. Teen Choice should reconsider their field of voters.

TCA is lame. The results are so bogus. How in the name of hell did Chace Crawford beat Ed Westwick for an acting award? I could understand if Lex or Sylar beat Chuck for best villain, but Ed Westwick is a waaaaay better actor that Chace. Obviously people were going by how pretty they think he is, not by talent. Ditto Lively beating Meester. Laaame.
Lively is NOT a good actress...anyone can play a distressed girl...and as the person below me pointed out, Hannah Montanna is terrible!

Just think, teens wouldn't be watching some of those shows if there was any parenting going on at home.
TCA don't really matter but it still bothers me that certain shows and people got robbed. I have nothing against Ed Westwick; for a British guy he's got a good American accent, but Michael Rosenbaum really should've won TV Villain. And Heroes is a good show and all but c'mon, season 2 SUCKED! Lost, Smallville or Prison Break should've won.
None of these really matter to me. No matter what the Teen Choice Awards says, it won't change my opinion of anyone of these people. To me, Miley Cyrus is still a bad actor/singer.
