The Best of Conan's Tonight Show

Well, it's (allegedly) official: Conan is leaving NBC. But although his Tonight Show tenure was short, the red-haired one did a lot of great stuff in just seven months. Here are a few of our favorite moments from The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

William Shatner reads Sarah Palin's farewell speech
Oh, the absurdity!

Sarah Palin fights back by reading from Shatner's book
And the absurdity continues...

Puppies Dressed as Cats
What's cuter: Puppies, kittens, or a combination of the two?

Bruno swings by The Tonight Show
The erotic dance to Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" really makes it.

Conan's Twitter Tracker
While everyone else was busy acting like celebrity tweets were incredibly important, Conan pointed out just how boring they truly are.

Conan's Celebrity Google
What's more exciting than celebrity Twitter? Celebrity Google.

30 Rock / Tonight Show crossover
Jack McBrayer appears in character as Kenneth the Page to, uh, gently rib NBC's mismanagement of late-night.

Behind the scenes at the Celebrity Jeopardy Invitational
Let's not forget about Conan's sidekick, Andy Richter. His behind-the-scenes look at Jeopardy was a special treat for diehard Trebek fans.

Late-Night Telenovela
To appeal to his Latino viewers, Conan offered the first late-night telenovela. Viva Conando!

Avatar hits The Tonight Show
What do you get when you cross Twilight, Avatar, and NBC's scheduling shake-up?

I Like Conan better than Jay, but I can understand how NBC would want to keep Jay's Older audience, the folks who didn't "get" Conan's style of humor that served him so well in the 12:30 time slot. NBC is basically a dead-broke / out-moded network at this point !

NBC should do this:
1) Put Jay Leno back on the Tonight Show, from 11:35 to 12:35
2) Put Conan O'Brian on a new Saturday night show, from 11:30 to 1:00, on the nights that Saturday Night Live is not filming

let weight do the talking! I like either one too much!

I like Leno, and I think in due time his new show could amount to something nice, but I love Conan and I think despite the limitation and constraints of his new time slot he did make a brilliant show. Shame on NBC they don't deserve him

Leno should take a walk and let Conan have the tonight show. At the most, Leno should have gotten a show on Saturday when they normally play repeats. But instead they ruined the network for him.

I'm happy that he left NBC after all the stuff they did to him just so they could put Jay Leno on the air. Good for Conan for sticking it out and leaving the Tonight show not if only NBC would allow him to make anti-NBC jokes that would be awesome.

I was really kind of hoping that Conan would stick it out, take the 12:05 spot, and that NBC would inevitably put everything back to normal once Jay epic failed at an 11:35 half-hour show.

best Conan ever was him just being himself and improvising during the writers strike. Let's hope he lands somewhere that gives him that kind of freedom.

I like Conan but the Tonight Show wasn't really that amazing. I mean he didn't bring his brand of zany humor that made him famous into L.A when he moved. If anything he toned down his show to meet the needs of an older audience. That being said I'm definitely on Team Conan over Team Leno and I'm sure (Ferguson, Letterman, Stewart, Colbert and Kimmel are on Team Conan as well.

Conan is way more entertaining than Leno or Fallon (though hes still so new its expected), NBC is foolish to do anything to piss him off and lose him.
