The Cleveland Show delayed to fall 2009

This will pay for Seth MacFarlane's 10th house.

Cleveland will rock, just not as soon as people had hoped. Fox today announced that it has pushed the debut of Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show back to fall 2009, erasing hope (and a previous announcement) that it would see the light of day sometime this midseason.

The Cleveland Show was originally scheduled for a spring debut, but a lengthy production schedule for the animated show has forced Fox to opt for a more realistic start date.

But it wasn't all bad news. With word of the show's delay also came word that The Cleveland Show is set for a lengthy debut. Fox ordered a full season of the comedy, granting it 22 episodes right out of the gate.

Fox also revealed that political cougar Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post will be one of the voice actors, providing the words for a talking bear who shares her name.

The Cleveland Show focuses on Peter Griffin's buddy Cleveland Brown as he moves to Virginia with his high school sweetheart, his son, and his sweetheart's two kids. His new neighborhood includes a wannabe hipster, a redneck, and a family of talking bears. Hilarity will most certainly ensue.

More Cleveland at the cost of waiting a little longer... That's a fair trade, right?

Family guy is one of my favorite tv shows, so I will give this a try. But Cleveland is one of my least favorite characters on the show. We'll see.

Well, I hope this show is better than Family Guy has been recently. I still think the best spin-off is CSI: Miami.

This spin-off will be more interesting than Ben 10: Alien Force and The Suite Life on Deck.

... how can this possibly get a full-season when the world hasn't even seen a pilot. Seth McFarland must have a silver tongue to have convinced FOX to do this.

I think Mort should get his own show.

Hm. For a second I was really confused because King of the Hill was just canceled, and when I read this I was thinking that THAT was what the spin-off would be about. Family Guy makes more sense, hopefully it'll be good when it finally arrives :)
