Well now I wouldn't be surprised if the sky turned to marshmallows and everyone sprouted a third arm. The CW has ordered a full season of Beauty and the Beast, the same series that garnered ZERO positive reviews on Metacritic and was called "an embarrassing low point for The CW" by our own CW-loving Price Peterson. Nevertheless, it gets 22 episodes! The Secret Circle remains canceled.
The show has benefitted from its pairing with The CW's top show The Vampire Diaries, and is averaging 2.4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the adult demo—the "okay" range for the network. But it's well behind The CW's new darling, Arrow, which is posting an average of about 3.5 million viewers.
I don't know what to think anymore. Can someone tell me what's going on? Is this that Mayan calendar end-of-the-world thing?
