A new episode of The Daily Show is expected to air on Thursday, according to the network. Filmmaker David Holbrooke was scheduled to be Noah's guest on Wednesday'sepisode. (An encore episode will air instead.) Actress Regina King is booked for Thursday.

This will be the first episode Noah has missed since he took over hosting duties in September.

Glad to hear his everything went well and Trevor is able to return to the show right away. If he needed to take an extra day I am sure one of the correspondents would have done an excellent job filling in for him.

Wish him well, but I have to say since they are repeating last night's episode, more people are gonna get to watch his funny remarks about Bushy's failing campaign. Don't worry though folks, he can fix it;-)

They should of had Jordan Klepper host, but maybe Comedy Central is worried about losing everyone on The Daily Show.

I wish him well. He's no Jon Stewart, but, to be fair, he's done a bang-up job so far, I've been watching the show. He's not as political, to be expected, I miss that Jon Stewart sarcarm, but Trevor is subtle in his own ways and it does grow on me.

Ha! What a layabout, I remember back in the day, you could lose a hand and be expected back at work in five.

A hand?...why, that's just a flesh wound. Now, if it was both his arms and legs, he might get a morning off...;)

He has far exceeded my expectations and has actually done very well as the new host of The Daily Show. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Firstly I'm hoping that Trevor has a speedy recovery. But I'm also interested what they'll do on Thursday, I doubt Trevor is going to be in a position to host the show. So are they going to parachute John Oliver in for a bit of stunt hosting or will Jessica Williams be sat behind the desk?

I don't know...is it maybe a bit early for someone to stand in for him? I really like the daily show with him but we're all still getting used to him so not sure that it's a great idea to have someone to compare him too quite yet.

I would love the idea of Jessica hosting, IMHO she has the chops. Ain't bad lookin either;-) I don't think Trevor's in any danger of being replaced either.
