The House of Lies Pilot is on YouTube (VIDEO)

As you may have noticed, there isn't a whole lot of new TV on this week. Ooh, but here's something fun: Showtime has posted the entire first episode of its upcoming dramedy House of Lies online in hopes that you'll get hooked and pony up some cash to subscribe to the premium cable network. But the reason doesn't matter, because this thing's got Don Cheadle! And Kristen Bell! And Parks and Rec's Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz)! They all play smooth-talking consultants who swindle major corporations into paying them millions of dollars to say what the corporations want to hear--and as you may recall, the series is one of our most anticipated new shows of 2012. Take a look (the video is censored for nudity and swears but otherwise appears unedited) and let us know what you think in the comments.

House of Lies premieres Sunday, January 8 at 10pm on Showtime.

loved the pilot. It looks very promising and Don Cheadle will make this one a sure winner.

Watched the pilot a couple of days ago... LOVE THAT SHOW.

It's just awesome - grown-up humor for grown-up TV watcher.

Doesn't hurt that I knew almost every actors in that cast. Seriously solid.

The good news is I won't be wasting my time watching more episodes of this mess. I'll have to waste it elsewhere.

I was pretty intrigued with Cheadle and Bell in this unusual show (is this comedy? drama? satire?) and I was not disappointed by the 1st ep. Made me think of Enlightened for its humorous commentary on the ills and neurosis of our society - though the pace is so much faster and the amount of nudity (just fine as far as i am concerned) and outrageous language just on another league... I just wonder how they will manage to keep the show as sparkling as this first ep was... i for one can't wait for the next ep...

Couldn't watch it either from my country so I found the screener version... and I do have to wonder what the youtube edit looks like without nudity! I'm not a prude and I don't mind sex scenes, but at that frequency it just feels forced and not organic to the plot. It's also clearly unrealistic in terms of how the consulting business works -or at least very much a caricature of that.

I was going to skip it because of its name. Until, that is, I read of Don Cheadle's and Kristen Bell's presence. So, I watched it and (Surprise!) I enjoyed it. Love the idea of successfully skewering/bleeding those economy-crashing, homelessness-increasing financial institutions (too bad it's only a TV show).

Cheadle's got charisma. I like his intermittent breaks through "the fourth wall". Happy to see Kristen Bell in a series again (Bell's appearances on The Late Late Show W/Craig Ferguson are must-watch). Awed and encouraged by the character of Bud (the son who is unhindered by outdated gender roles) who auditioned for the role of "Sandy" in "Grease" and how his dad unconditionally loved and accepted him as he was. That was, n a word, Beautiful!

"House of Lies" could be just as enjoyable - and find larger viewership - without the gratuitous, unnecessary nudity and profanity. IMO: there's enough of that crap in the movies. And, we are offered far too few examples of intelligent, entertaining and interesting TV series.

Seems like a 2012 version of Mad Men. What's with the sudden, "I'm a horrible human being attitude" at the end? Making Don Cheadle's character bipolar would make him more interesting because so far it doesn't look promising. I'll give it one more chance on the next episode.

*Random. Only 3 mins in and this has got to be the first time I have ever seen a black gender-roles challenging boy portrayed on television (never seen one in movies either). Can't help but think progress.

Wow. That was uniformly bad!

Yet another antihero dick we're supposed to root for?? It's a pity because Don Cheadle is one of my favorite actors.

And Kristen Bell needs her own show. After Veronica Mars, she deserves better.

Don Cheadle can do no wrong, apart from iron man 2.
