The Office Adds Jim Carrey to Its Finale

... The upcoming season finale of NBC's The Office just gets more and more star-studded. Jim Carrey is the latest bigwig to interview for Michael Scott's soon-to-be-vacated position as boss of Dunder-Mifflin. Carrey joins previously announced guests Ricky Gervais, Will Arnett, James Spader, Ray Romano, and Catherine Tate. [EW]

... BBC America has purchased the broadcast rights to Syfy's Battlestar Galactica and will begin airing the series, including the two-hour miniseries that launched it all, on June 18, a Saturday. If you haven't checked out this incredible series, you no longer have any excuses. I'll come by your house that day to make sure you're watching. Please stock your fridge with plenty of root beer. And make sure it's Barq's, none of that A&W; crap. [Deadline Hollywood]

The former Heroes star is writing a sci-fi script for Syfy about special agents who travel to a parallel universe to stop certain events from happening. The Hollywood Reporter describes it as Inception-esque, which leads me to believe that they haven't seen Inception. [THR]

Ricky Gervais said "The office is about a bunch of nobodies doing nothing all day" we all can relate to that, that's what I like about it, But Will Ferrel? Jim Carry? they just don't fit in there ("nobodies" part is very important).

The Office finale sounds pretty great to me. Also I hate it when people jump on the Inception bandwagon, or anything-recently-successful-bandwagon. I mean you could do a show or movie or something in the same vein or trying to emulate it, but don't promote it through the success of another project.

So excited for BSG on BBC! I've been meaning to watch it, online, but on TV would be so much better. If it's once a week though, then it'll take me forever to watch it.

The Office finale is sounding more and more like debacle-fest 2K11. Too many chefs crowd the kitchen, ya know.....// Masi Oka's idea sounds more like Fringe than Inception imo. // Finally, I didn't know anyone still drank root beer in this day and age; I thought it went out of style with those little circles you put around the holes of your looseleaf paper when they rip, and you don't want them to fly out of your binder....damn it what are they called?!?!

Barq's is the crappy stuff. A&W is the best root beer.
