The Simpsons' New Couch Gag Is a Perfect Impression of a Mad Men Episode Promo (VIDEO)

Mad Men debuts the first half of its seventh and final season this Sunday, April 13, and even the citizens of Springfield are excited. Behold, The Simpsons' new couch gag, which is set to air before this weekend's future-set new episode, "Days of Future Future," and is basically a perfect rendering of a typical Mad Men episode promo:

Homer: "Sit down." Chief Wiggum: "You're not going anywhere." Lisa: "[Gasp!]" Me: "Brilliant."

And here's the official description for "Days of Future Future," which has nothing to do with Mad Men but sounds fun nonetheless:

In this future-set episode, Homer has a new clone for every time he dies. Meanwhile, Lisa is married to a zombie version of Milhouse, and Bart deals with custody issues with his ex-wife, Jenda (guest-voice Amy Poehler). Each defines what love means to them.

Mad Men returns for Season 7 on Sunday, April 13 at 10pm on AMC. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on Fox.

That's how the Mad Men promos are at the end of each episode, they tell us nothing.
