Last week, we listed our favorite TV bars. But not all of the boob tube's fine establishments serve beer. If we could travel through TV-land, here are the ten local haunts we'd most like to visit.
10. Bigger Jigger, Mama's Family
Vinton loved goin' on down to the Bigger Jigger, but it certainly wasn't Mama's favorite establishment.
9. The Basement, That 70's Show
Red and Kitty's rec room was used for all sorts of recreational activities.
8. The Pit, A Different World
Dwayne Wayne, Whitley, Denise and even Tupac visited this Hillman College hotspot.
7. The Bronze, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy, Xander, Willow and the rest of the Scooby Gang rocked out at this night club where even Aimee Mann made occasional appearances. (And this fan video is kind of too good not to share.)
6. The Max, Saved by the Bell
The place for milkshakes, hot dance movies, broken hearts, and pitch-perfect 1990 decor.
5. Arnold's, Happy Days
Heyyyyy! It's got a jukebox and the Fonz—what's not to like?
4. The Peach Pit, Beverly Hills 90210
This one is best expressed in haiku:The Peach Pit, a place
where the well-coiffed eat burgers
good times, bad times, here
3. Central Perk, Friends
While Jennifer Aniston's haircut inspired salons everywhere to offer "The Rachel," this "New York" java joint likely had a hand in independent-coffee-shop boom of the '90s... not to mention mass consumption of lattes served in mugs the size of human heads.
2. Monk's Diner, Seinfeld
The best place to talk about... everything.diner where Jerry and crew can speak aloud their neuroses.
1. Double R,
Twin Peaks The Double R serves up a damn fine cup of coffee.Which TV hangouts would make your list?
3/17th of a haiku about the center of life, The Peach Pit, was where Brenda, Brandon and the rest of the well-coiffed crew worked through some of the toughest moments in their Beverly Hills lives.

Great list!I like Central Perk and Monk's Diner. Another places are Cheers,Luke's in 'Gilmore Girls',Joe's bar in 'Grey's Anatomy',TRIC in One Tree Hill,Bait Shop in The OC.
I loved Central Perk, but what about the Talon from Smallville?!
Monk's Diner, Seinfeld and Central Perk, Friends are the best !!!! ...
Another very nice list. I thought of most of them as well.
MacLaren's Pub, Luke's Diner, the German waffle restaurant from Dead Like Me, the Bait Shop from The OC...
what about 'the pie hole?' that place was filled with magic!
Correction: Seinfeld was a show about nothing, so Monk's Diner was the best place to talk about...nothing.
Yeah here's voting for The Pie Hole! There were lots of good choices there.
One hangout that shouldn't be forgotten- The Pie Hole from Pushing Daisies.
What about MacLaren's!!!
Monk's diner! I would love to go there.
CHEERS!!!!
I say Monk s Diner is number 1
Oh HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! Mels diner from Alice...
Luke's on Gilmore Girls
Central Perk, The Max, The Basement
Yay The Bronze!
Great list once again! The Double R surely deserves it, and even if I probably would have picked Central Perk over Monk's Dinner, I don't object. Also nice to see The Max on the list! The Unisex bathroom at Cage & Fish (Ally McBeal) might have deserved to be included as well.. But generally, a neat list!
Yes, I agree with previous posts. The Royal Diner from Bones should`ve been on the list! Also, I liked that goofy Der Waffle Haus from Dead Like Me!
Where's the Regal Beagle from Three's Company? That's one of the most memorable things from that show.Also...Rosie's from MASH.If you think about it #1 should be Cheers.
The Double R...where pie goes when it dies...
no p3 from charmed? they had waay more famous singers compared to anyone else.
BOOOO! Central Perk should be #1! Everyone knows what it is even if you don't even watch the show. I don't even know what Double R is....
Yay for The Bronze and The Max, but Luke's Diner should have definitely made the top ten. It was THE place to go in Stars Hollow.
OK, 10-Forward doesn't belong because it's a bar, and bars got their own list. But the holodeck isn't (usually) a bar... AND it could have been all the other places on the list.
it would've been awesome to see the Talon from Smallville on this list :P
Good catch @MrShotShot. What about the Swamp and 10-Forward? I'll assume you mentioned Cheers last week as one of your favorite TV bars.
Okay- as a Friends purist, I was angry when Central Perk wasn't number one....but, okay.
Love that odor emanating from the basement!
What was the name of the place that Moesha and her friends hug out at? That was a good place.I'd add Rachel's Place from I think the first season of Family Matters. The Diner from Seinfeld was good.2 places from some cartoons were rad, Arthur's The Sugar something and also Recess' Kelso's was all the rage.
Central Perk and The Bronze
The Bronze yay!
I agree with the Bronze but the diner from Bones should be there as well.
Monk's should be tied for #1 with Moe's from the Simpson's. Sure these other hangouts are staples, BUT nothing really happened at them. Monk's always had something happening, it was the centrepiece to Seinfeld. And Moe's, well no Flaming Moe's for you. Moe, Moe, Moe...
Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls should definitely be there.
The Bronze!!!!!!! And The Magic Box!!!!!
Double R :D:D Damn fine coffie!
I agree with Foreman's basement, The Max, and Arnold's. I always wanted to hang out at those places. But what about Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls, Chubby's from Boy Meets World, or Tric and Karen's Cafe from One Tree Hill.
Chubby's from Boy Meets World.
I would have loved to hang out at MONKS from Seinfeld
Or 10 Forward for that matter?
How could the SWAMP not be on the list?
What about Luke's Diner? Or the bar from Magnum PI? Or Joe's Emerald City Bar on Grey's? Or Corner Gas and the Ruby? Still, I loved the Basement, and the Bronze, and Central Perk, and I miss the original Peach Pit, so I'm glad you didn't post anything about the redone one for the redone series--though the original After Dark was a pretty good spot in the post-high school seasons for the BH90210 gang.
My favorit is also Central Perk. Visiting it wold be awesome.
i would change double r with moes bar from the simpsons and put double r forth. 3rd would be monk's and 2nd central perk. Also remove the max from the list entirely along with the bigger jigger to replace the latter with The Drunken Clam from Family Guy or the bus stop from south park
So you missed Cheers, Der Waffle Haus, and Paddy's. And probably Moe's. Essentially just copy your top TV bars countdown over to here. Those are the best TV hangouts.
I think that first place shouldnt be Double R - I like the most - Central Park, Monk's and yeah they could put Mclarens here too.
Foreman's basement! Who could forget lol
