At this year's Comic-Con, True Blood creator Alan Ball revealed that "we will lose a handful of major characters toward the end of the season, unfortunately." I don't know about "major" or "unfortunately," but so far we've lost the following recurring characters: Tommy (scoff), Marcus (hardly a major character), Witch Man (heart was DRANKED), and Marnie (in body, at least). With the suggestive title "And When I Die," and a Halloween setting, Sunday's Season 4 finale is almost certain to drop another mother cold. Here's the promo, in case you haven't seen it yet:
Who do you think won't live to see Season 5? A little informal bet-placing is in order, so here are our odds on the top five contenders for "Most Murdered" in Bon Temps…
JÉSUS VELASQUEZ
1:20 ODDS IN FAVOR
The season finale episode promo showed a glimpse of what appeared to be Lafayette's turquoise gown with Jesus' demon head. It's hard to imagine he could channel this ancient Mayan demon without first killing the Brujo it's bound to. As much as I love Kevin Alejandro, his time on the show might be coming to a close, leaving Lafayette and Toni/Tara to edge even closer to complete emotional detachment.
1:10 ODDS IN FAVOR
Tweaking on V, abjured by Alcide, and convinced Alcide cheated on her with Sookie, Debbie has every mixed-up reason to come after Sookie right now. And since Sookie has two vampires willing to die for her and laser guns for hands, things might not end well for Shreveport's Ke$ha lookalike.
NAN FLANAGAN
2:5 ODDS IN FAVOR
She's really pushed things into a "If Bill goes I go" situation, and she's never made out with Sookie, so bye Nan! Nice knowing you. I'm less certain about whether it will be Pam or Bill who kills her.
HOLLY CLEARY
1:1 EVEN ODDS
Once the witch arc is done, there won't be much reason to keep this character in play, and also she'll be running around with vampires while dressed up like a fairy for Halloween (see promo), which is the equivalent of dressing up like a jumbo bucket of crispy fried chicken around me. She's gotten enough screen time this season for it to be mildly shocking if she's killed off, and she's also got that pesky day job over on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Doesn't look good for Holly.
ANDY BELLEFLEUR
5:1 ODDS AGAINST
Here's my theory: Chris Bauer has been a hot mess this season because he was told early on it was his last, so he's been doing a particularly bad job in order to spite both the fans and Alan Ball. Also, Fairy STDs.
QUESTIONS:
… Who do you think will be killed in the finale, if anyone?
… Care to make it interesting, or does even asking that mean I'll get "thrown in the slammer"?
… How will Season 4 end?

Well, except for Holly and Andy, that deadpool was pretty spot-on!
Nice job, Lily.
good assumptions, almost all of them were right
soooo many deaths in the finale
wow that was a kill fest:))
I hated the deaths and the only one that was actually deserved was Debbie's.
Hoyt's mama in a hail of fangs! Doo it, please! Andy's fine. He's got a new contract with Bad-Taste Fairy.
OK, let's see here. They aren't going to get rid of Eric and Bill, because the world will completely go crazy. Sam isn't going anywhere, he's the only one who's somewhat got his head on straight. Jesus will go, because poor LaLa hasn't had enough heartbreak. Holly is history, this time being Julia Louis Dreyfuss's sister won't help her. Marnie is going, the season's nut always does. Debbie is history. Andy will go so Jason can be Chief of Police. Let's face it, the guy really didn't have much of a part anyway. I think the fairy will come get him so he can at least get laid again. Nans gone, she had no real part either. I think they'll keep Tara, she's the only sane one around. Hoyt may kill himself. They'll keep Alcide. And of course Sookie, Bill's personal door mat, will go back with the putz. She's crazy! I'd be jumping Eric one night and Alcide the next night, but that's just me. Anyway, I have a chance to see the punk band Rancid tonight for free, but I'm gonna be glued to the TV. Then I'll be on the phone for an hour with my BF rehashing every scene.moreless
I think Jesus, Nan and Debbie will die.
The series unfortunatly became this season like Heroes. Where many characters became just annoying so you don't care about (what happen to) them. The core main cast, read Sookie, Eric, Bill, Sam, Jason is unkillable. And the rest? Execpt for Andy, which is still a good charakter, although his V-addiction became repetitiv, and Jessica who gets annoying too, but still is hot. ;) Yeah, the Rest can die and I won't care much! So kill all the Tara, Jesus, Lafayette, Debbie, Nan or Holly you want.
I think it will be Jesus, because if Eric is out, so am I.
They better not kill Tara. Debbie's dying for sure...
no tara dies so does debbie and jesus
Nan should go.. lol... her demise's been long overdue..
i think it will end with bill and eric burning at the stake. in a recent interview with nelsan he said fans are not going to happy with the huuugee cliffhanger ending.
"Cliffhanger" has meant many things this season, very rarely has it meant any real suspense. I'm going to hate going a year without a new episode no matter what happens! Already miss Lafayette's surprising new hairstyles.
SPOILER (possible) I read somewhere that ''someone who thinks they are very powerful'' will die. This could refer to Marnie ofcourse but also to Nan.
Personally I think Nan will die by the hand of Eric, Bill, Sookie or Pam because she ordered to have Eric & Bill burned at the steak.
I am sure Debbie will die and Tara might die as well in the Sookie+Tara+Debbie faceoff.
I have been considering the fact that Eric might die since Alex keeps saying he gets bored playing the same character. If they put in a fantastic death scene and mourning scene I am willing to let go of Eric's character. The Pam/Eric flashbacks they've been referring to for next season might be flashbacks by Pam who remembers her maker. This would mean Alex is still in the series but will have much less screentime.
Can't wait for tomorrow!

*I meant STAKE of course.. although STEAK has a good pun..
I bet is Jesus.
You left out Maxine and Hoyt. Something could happen to them to. Hoyt dying would kind of help the Jason-Jessica arch.
I have considered that, it is definitely a possibility, but I really hope they draw out the love triangle in season 5.
This is a good point. I can see Hoyt dying because of this. Also, Terra or Jesus (it would piss off Lafayette and make him maybe embrace his Poltergeist). This would then lead to the possible death of Lafayette.
By bye Andy... You suck, If you don't mind me saying
Andy is who I'ed vote for
I think Eric will go if only because the actor is getting into movies and probably wants to do more of it.
No, he can't go, he is under a contract for many seasons, don't remember how many, but many.
Awwwww nuts.
Oh, if Eric is out, so am I :S
What does it it means "Donde esta mi brujo"?
it means where is my witch
Thanks!
if the don't kill Tara i go audition for Season 5 and kill her myself ;)
I love it! Wish I would have thought of that after I lost a part when I was acting.
Debby, Nan and probably Jezus, maybe Jezus can 'haunt' Lafayette next season.
I hope it's Andy, there's no reason for the character's existance a few seasons now.
I don't want Jesus or Andy to go...
Please, please, please let it be Tara!
As long that don`t get rid Sookie, Eric, Bill, Pam, Jessica and Alcide fine with me. I think that Debbie, Jesus and Nan maybe Andy this season was awful so yeah him also but i will care a little if jesus dies but i will live ;D
Debbie for sure. I'm afraid that they are going to kill Jesus, he's probably going to sacrifice himself to free Lafayette from Marnie. Don't know about Nan, I don't really care. Andy has a new storyline with the fairies so he is staying. I think that Holly is going to survive, romance with Andy and be the new queen witch of Bon Temps.
Thanks for the comment, I 100% agree.I put odds against Andy getting killed, but I'm just such an optimist I couldn't leave him off the list.
Fine with Nan, Debbie, and Holly getting axed. Nan is interesting but has run her course. Debbie go annoying and Holly just did not seem to do much for the story other than the little hint at a relationship with Andy. To up the body count though, I would bring back Crystal just to kill her off.
That brings up a good point. What the hell happened to that story line when Jason got raped by all the ugly women in Hotshot so they could re-populate? How did he get it up? Half of them didn't have any teeth! They just dropped that storyline like a bag of rocks.
I really hope that happens, bringing back Crystal and then killing her off. Not that I'm complaining, but where did that storyline go? Did we really need all that set up for Jessica to give Jason her blood? Couldn't he have just fallen down the stairs?
I don't think they are going to kill off Crystal until next season: Jessica and Jason's relationship is too green yet. They'll probably going to kill her off after the Hotshot women give birth to Jason's werepanthers.
Jesus is dead for sure...
Anybody but Pam and I'm happy(though it would be fun to see the Ke$ha lookalike get killed by a glitter bomb or something)
True Blood is based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris.

Good books! If you think the show is crazy, read the series of books! Make time though....once you open one, you won't move until the last page!
