You know what you haven't had a good 10-episode injection of in a while? A David E. Kelley medical drama! The prolific Kelley, who's the creator of such programs as The Practice, Boston Public, and Harry's Law, will churn out yet another show for TNT.

The cable network has ordered 10 episodes of Monday Mornings, a medical drama co-created by CNN medical whiz and awesomely named Sanjay Gupta, who wrote the book the show is based on. The series is targeting the summer of 2013 for launch. Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Jamie Bamber, Jennifer Finnigan, and Bill Irwin star.

So what's this thing about besides a team of doctors balancing their professional lives and personal lives while occasionally making out during an appendectomy? Not much, but it is different from other medical dramas because it's set in Portland, Oregon. The title isn't a Garfield quote, it's a reference to the medical staff's weekly meetings where patient care is discussed.

In other news, TNT will not be moving forward with its Western pilot Tin Star. But Frank Darabont's L.A. Noir is still shooting and very much in contention for a series order.
