Summer is heating up, said the PR robot, and that means its time for your favorite second-tier cable channels to announce the returns of several of their flagship shows. TNT announced its calendar today for the hot season, including the sort-of-anticipated debut of the Dallas remake, the return of the smash hit Falling Skies, and the last we'll see of Brenda's closing abilities in The Closer. All shows will have 10-episode seasons, except for The Closer, which finishes with half a dozen.
Let's look at these premiere dates chronologically:
June 5
9pm: Season 3 of Rizzoli & Isles
10pm: Season 2 of Franklin & Bash
June 13
9pm: Series premiere of Dallas
June 17
9pm: Season 2 of Falling Skies
June 24
10pm: Series premiere of The Great Escape
July 9
9pm: Final season of The Closer
10pm: Series premiere of Perception
July 15
8pm: Season 5 of Leverage
August 13
10pm: Series premiere of Major Crimes
Wow. I practically forgot Falling Skies even existed. I practically forgot that I covered that show last season. It's a soap about struggling farmers, right?
Which TNT show are you most excited to see again? And no, Franklin & Bash is not an acceptable answer.
