The Restorer Guy (7 p.m., TLC): This new reality show chronicles the projects of Gable Painter, an expert in home restoration. In the premiere episode, he works on the Grace Street Mansion, a Victorian mansion built in 1895. And, yes, that's his real name.
Hell's Kitchen (8 p.m., FOX): Get ready for another season full of screaming chef Gordon Ramsay! This time around, the contestants are competing for the Head Chef position at a resort in Whistler, British Columbia, one of the sites for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The twist? It's no longer an individual competition -- the chefs must work in teams.
Ruby & the Rockits (8:30 p.m., ABC Family): Spy Kids veteran Alexa Vega stars in this new family sitcom about a girl who searches for her long-lost father -- an aging pop star on the casino circuit -- and convinces him to reunite with his old band. It really is fun for the whole family -- David Cassidy plays that aging pop star!
The Colony (10 p.m., DSC): Discovery Channel has a thing for extreme reality shows: first there was Deadliest Catch, then Man vs. Wild, and now we have The Colony, another "social experiment" that documents the lives of 10 people struggling to survive in a simulated post-apocalyptic world.
The Daily Show (11 p.m., Comedy Central): United States Energy Secretary Steven Chu, who has spoken repeatedly about the dangers of global warming, knows just how to get his message across to the generation who will inherit the problem: He's been featured in Rolling Stone, he has a Facebook page, and tonight he's talking to Jon Stewart.
