Today's Picks: NCIS, The Forgotten, The Good Wife

It's Tuesday night -- NCIS is back!

Here's what we'll be watching ...

Season 7 premiere, 8 p.m. & Series premiere, 9 p.m., CBS

NCIS & NCIS: Los Angeles

The East Coast team is still coping with Ziva's move to Israel, especially since they have to find a replacement for her. But the West Coast team is off to a fresh start with G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) at the helm.

Season 1 finale, 8:30 p.m., ABC Family

Ruby and the Rockits

The Season 1 finale is actually the series finale, too. Enjoy the last episode of David Cassidy's mid-life crisis foray into family comedy.

Season 1 finale, 9 p.m., Syfy

Warehouse 13

MacPherson is auctioning off some stuff he stole from the warehouse -- and it's up to the team to find him.

Series premiere, 10 p.m., ABC

The Forgotten

Christian Slater stars in this new drama about a team that identifies the victims in unsolved murder cases. It's got Jerry Bruckheimer's name attached to it, so it must be good.

Series premiere, 10 p.m., CBS

The Good Wife

Who would cheat on Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies)? Apparently her big-time politician husband, Peter (Chris Noth).

Plus: Former President Bill Clinton is on the Late Show with David Letterman! (11:35 p.m., CBS)

Also on the airwaves ...
The Biggest Loser, 8 p.m., NBC
Hell's Kitchen, 8 p.m., FOX
90210, 8 p.m., CW
Melrose Place, 9 p.m., CW
Flipping Out, 10 p.m., BRAVO
The Colony, 10 p.m., DSC
Sons of Anarchy, 10 p.m., FX

As expected, NCIS was terrific. Also as expected, I couldn't watch NCIS:LA after the opening -- but put it on disk. There are a LOT of things wrong with the show -- starting with the name -- but the worst mistake they made was putting it on after the original, begging comparison with it -- and I'm not sure many shows could stand up to that. (THE MENTALIST did because it went off in such a different direction, but not a spin-off unless it was not merely brilliant, but obviously and instantaneously brilliant. This isn't.)

In the original NCIS ep crossover, LL doing that Minority Report choreography with the video screens was the most ridiculous thing I've seen. I didn't see any chemistry, and all the characters seemed rather full of themselves. I hope they fixed all that.
