Toler hitched to Divorce Court as new judge

Divorce Court will have a new judge on the bench come fall.

Twentieth Television, which distributes the syndicated show, said Monday that Lynn Toler is stepping onto the bench for the upcoming eighth season, replacing Mablean Ephriam.

Toler served as administrative judge in Cleveland Heights Municipal Court for eight years after working as an attorney specializing in civil matters. Her relationship with Twentieth extends to 2001, when she hosted its court show Power of Attorney.

More recently, Twentieth said in November that it was developing two new first-run court shows for fall, one of which featured Toler. The other one, Cristina's Court, is launching in September.

Bummer, I liked to watch Judge Ephriam. She was the main reason that I tuned in when I did. I can pretty much tell you what each case is about, I mean come on, they are asking for a divorce. Infidelity, money, weight gain/loss....But she kept the "run of the mill" problems spicy. She was great on "Celebrity Fit Club", she looks wonderful with her new physique. I do hope that when this door closes, a window will open for her.
