In this gargantuan Top 100 list, we go a little out of the box by looking at specific elements of television--both on-screen and off-screen--that we thought were the most memorable this year. We'll put up 10 more each weekday through January 2nd, so be sure to check the site often. Until next year, Happy Holidays!
50. The machismo of SAMCRO
FX's Sons of Anarchy is one of the better new shows on television, and the beer-swiggin', hog-ridin', gun-smugglin' dudes of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original are just what pansy television needed. Even the SAMCRO girls are tougher than anything on TBS.
49. The failure of Opportunity Knocks
Phew. That was a close one! Maybe there is hope for humanity.
48. Supernatural's psycho teddy bear
In the episode "Wishful Thinking," we met the best cameo of the fall season: a teddy bear brought to life thanks to the wish of a young girl. But this stuffed animal wasn't interested in cuddling. Instead, he stole porn and booze, wondered why he was brought into this horrible world, and tried to kill himself, blasting the stuffing out of his head in a nominee for this year's best scene.
47. The procedure of Criminal Minds
When you need a helping of crazy, there's nothing like getting into the heads of some of television's looniest criminals, and Criminal Minds serves it up in droves.
46. The gangbanging of Gangland
History Channel's Ganglang is the television version of those ex-cons who used to go into schools and scare students straight with stories of how awful gangs were, except instead of showing off bullet wounds, we get footage of 'bangers cappin' each other in the dome.
45. Robert Forester in Heroes
As Arthur Petrelli in Heroes, Robert Forester stepped into the role of resident bad guy during a season that sorely needed one. While Sylar was flashing forward in time baking cookies and having children, Arthur was snatching up powers like a true villain should.
44. Pardon the Interruption
ESPN's best show isn't SportsCenter, but rather this topical sports talk show starring Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon. Many have tried to replicate the show's timed format with disappointing results, but no one else can do it like these two do day in and day out. Even non-sports fans can get a kick out of PTI.
43. The flow of How I Met Your Mother
Few shows on television today play around with the norms of comedy story-telling like CBS' How I Met Your Mother. With time jumps, flashbacks, and other devices, HIMYM serves up dense episodes full of laughs.
42. TheWB.com
Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, The OC, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel. All streaming online. For free.
41. Robot Chicken's Star Wars spoofs
The Family Guy parodies of the sci-fi classic may have gotten more press, but Robot Chicken's takes on the Star Wars flicks were actually smart and funny.
Check out more TV.com lists here, and be sure to check back tomorrow for numbers 31-40!

Robert Forester has been really good.
"How I Met Your Mother" is OK, but BBC's "Coupling" did all of that, and was better at it to. Too bad that NBC's reincarnation was so F'ed up that even Steven Moffat, the original creator from the BBC, couldn't save it.
Three Cheers for PTI!
Hip hip...hooray
Hip hip...hooray
Hip hip...hooray
Yay for Robert Foster!
also why didn't the wb put charmed online to
hate arthur patrelli worst actor ever
Love SUPERNATURAL
thewb.com streaming for free if you reside in the almighty us of a... BS we in Canada have seen all of these shows too so why block us too? This crap has been going on too long. And for fun check out the free streaming of South Park in Canada via the link on the South Park website... oh wait you can't because it busted worse than the US economy.
I'm sorry but Robin Forester sucked on Heroes. He was such a bland, poorly acted 'mwhahahaha I am BIGGER and BADDER than the old villain Linderman… but I'm also a total evol overlording moron' villain. His master "plan" was beyond stupid. Adam pawned him in every way -- he was also smarter and very much prettier than he. The psycho suicidal, philosophical teddy bear was amazing.
"Life is meaningless, signed T. Bear" Supernatural just keeps getting better & better.
The Teddy Bear scene was one of the greatest ever seen. I still smile each time I think of it.
i thought the psycho teddy bear to be a bit silly but never the less hilarious ... :-D
How I Met You Mother has been the best sitcom on since Friends. Just glad other people are starting to notice it as well.
Supernatural's teddy bear suicide scene was hilarious but I still love the Dean-screams-at-a-cat scene more. :) I wish I would've waited for the WB to steam Veronica Mars before I bought all three seasons.
This is by far my favorite list. 48. Thank you for the mention. That teddy bear thing was a very creative ploy... and I thought I had problems.
Supernatural rocks as Buffy
:):)
Go Supernatural and Criminal Minds!
TheWB.com has one of the funniest Canadian comedies available now in JPod. Thanks WB for putting this show up for American audiences.
thanks for acknowledging something from Heroes. Arthur was really good, and some people might miss him *spoilers he's dead* but at least he didn't overstay his welcome right?
I love the wb website, but there are barely any episode on there and there aren't any full seasons!
I laughed until my stuffing hurt when Supernatural's "Wishful Thinking" teddy bear tried to off himself!!!
Robot Chicken and How I met your mother need to be higher up!
the suicidal teddy was the funniest thing i've ever seen!
I love Supernatural. I loved the Crazy Teddy Bear.
Love that SUPERNATURAL
the Robot Chicken Star Wars episodes were great. I liked the first one better though...."Get your own Taun-Taun!!"
I totally loved the depressed Teddy. His botched suicide made me laugh so hard. And a nice one for HIMYM. Don't watch it myself, but heard it's fab.
SPN's Killer teddy was really something else. Also rooting for Criminal Minds
Completely agree on SPN's teddybear he was awesome. but Robert Forester wasn't all that great and shouldn't be on this list or at least not this high.
I completeley agree with Otodat... There is nothing good about Heroes and it shouldn't even be mentioned on this list...
I don't think anyone that thinks Robert Forester did a good job as Arthur Petrelli knows what their talking about. That was some of the worst, wooden acting I have ever seen. He couldn't convey an emotion if they were holding a candle flame to his hand. He was AWFUL, and I'm quite sure that's why they killed his character off. Man, that guy gave one heck of a poor performance.
Why exactly is the failure of a crappy show #49? Anyway, 44 Arthur Petrelli was very good (although I hate it was so short & he looks to have killed Sark from Alias forever on Heroes), 43 HIMYM is still my king of comedy & 41 Seth Green/Matthew Senreich's Star Wars spoof this year was downright hilarious.
Robert Forester did a really good job on Heroes, and the teddy bear from Supernatural was hilarious!
i still dont like HIMYM
HIMYM is growing on me, but I only watch it because it follows TBBT. It's nice that WB.com offers all their shows online. Too bad the shows are so bad.
Robot Chicken, the stupidest thing ever committed to TV.
The teddy bear was awesome. I love SPN & HIMYM!!!!
The teddy bear... Sam and Dean as Teddy Bear Doctors... Yes, that was so totally worthy of making the best of list... Should have been higher up there, though...
The teddy bear was the funniest thing I've seen on TV all year, and Wishfull Thinking was one of the few bright spots in SPN's fourth season (not very impressed like other fans, hope it gets better).
The "suicide" was HILARIOUS! Better yet; the boys' reaction to the bear ... priceless.
and about theWB.com, it's available only in the United States, so for me it sucks.
that teddy bear of SPN was sth pretty good. I laughed a lot watching this episode. lol. But my favorite ep from this season was the one where Dean caught ghost sickness, Jensen was really funny in that episode XD I'd put that ep in top5. lol.
HIMYM is amazing!!
Oh man, I loved that teddy bear in Supernatural. XD; When he off-ed himself I couldn't stop laughing.
