To help you get into the holiday spirit, for the next 12 days, we'll provide you with one classic holiday TV clip. We've scoured through our archives and your comments on our story in which we asked you to name your favorite holiday episodes, and came up with a list of dazzling, heartwarming, and totally weird holiday clips. And instead of sharing the same ol' episodes we've all seen (don't get us wrong, we're totally down with some Festivus and Holiday Armadillo) we erred on the side of strange and obscure to keep things interesting.
Day 5: John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together
First airing in 1979, John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together was a companion piece to an album of the same name and featured 12 memorable musical performances, including Rowlf and John dueting on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Orchestra on "Little Saint Nick," and Kermit's version of "The Christmas Wish." The special isn't available to purchase on any home media format, so it's pretty hard to find. Luckily, some nice person uploaded clips to YouTube. Here is the gang singing "The Peace Carol." Perfectly timed for the holidays and The Muppets' comeback!

Thanks for the clip!
I think I had that album. I was a big JD fan and a Muppet fan.
This is one Christmas special they should bring back. Another obscure Muppet Christmas special is Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree which I don't think has had an official release either.
I agree. I'd love for all of the Muppet specials, especially their Christmas specials, to be available on DVD and shown on TV.
