Here's what we thought was out of sight and just not right on TV this week.
Swell:
... Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL
Even though we already know she's good at it, it still blows our mind when Tina does Sarah.
...Tracy Morgan on The Daily Show
Tobey Maguire, you owe him $75.
... Glee is back!
Thank God, because TV was getting too manly there for a second!
... Phil Mickelson wins the masters
Phil punctuated a great golfing performance with a heartfelt dedication to his cancer-stricken wife, and his single tear—*gulp*, excuse me, I have something in my eye.
... The music on Treme
We quit the trumpet in second grade, but we're glad these guys didn't. The saints are certainly marching in.
Hell:
... Glee revealing the Sue Sylvester "Vogue" video early, without waiting for next week's Madonna episode
Way to ruin it for us, Fox.
... Modern Family's bad episode
This show is too good to have bad episodes, so the ones that aren't that good seem way worse than they actually are. This week's falls into that category.
... Lost's clumsy answer to the whispers
Michael: "HEY GUYS THE WHISPERS ARE THE DEAD PEOPLE WHO CAN'T LEAVE THE ISLAND! EVERYONE GET THAT!? CHECK IT OFF THE LIST OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, OKAY?"
... NBC airing repeats for way too long
Hello? Anyone there?
... ABC Family is charging to watch episodes of 10 Things I Hate About You on its site
That's messed up.
What's on your list of loves and hates this week?

Why Oh Why do you ruin your lists by including anything from the unfunny, little watched 30rock???
I would like to know why V was pushed out of the primetime slot and to 10 pm EST?
Way too many repeats of EVERYTHING. I depend on NETFLIX a lot lately.
As for "Lost", I lost it completely! I do not watch. Supernatural was skipped this past week because, it was the only day that the networks managed to cram four or more programs I do watch into the same time slot! I no longer have two DVR's! Fringe was skipped as well. The rest of the week was packed with reruns. All this does is turn me off and onto classic films, or to the many DVD's I own. Hopefully the 100th episode of Supernatural will be run again?
Tracy Morgan for the win. Best Daily Show guest ever.
Tracy Morgan was really funny on The Daily Show. I agree about NBC. They are just giving me another reason not to watch the network.
The best episode of television in a long time aired this week. A season ender that leaves the network with no other choice but to want to renew it; the show was "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" the episode was, "Kill Them All". The two most desperate housewives on television Viva Bianca's awesome "Ilithyiah" and Lucy Lawless's awesome "Lucretia" had their final moment, with Ilythia locking the doors to set the massacre. It was genius. Steven DeKnight should send a letter to Joss Whedon explaining why cable is a better outlet for their brilliantly demented ideas than is regular television. "Spartacus" has allowed DeKnight to step completely out of Whedon's shadow and prove he still has great ideas on his own.
Why are people complaining over the answer to the whispers? It was done totally fine, and the answer to it was great.
at least Spartacus was epic this week!!!
@novembernicole -- Yeah, you're right. I suppose I just overreacted. You have to admit, Lost fans whine about he show an AWFUL lot, though I contend that these aren't the real fans of the show (you know these fans -- the kind who go straight to IMDb after every episode, no matter the quality or season, and do nothing but complain). And while I don't mind the way the whispers were answered, I can see why others would. Sorry if I came off as condescending.
I think the complaint people have about the whispers answer was how clunkily it was done--it was nice to get the information, but it was poorly written in and came off very lame (again, not the information itself, but the way in which it was done). Michael might as well have just turned to the camera and said, "Hey, I'm talking to all you people watching the show right now: here's what the whispers are."
lost is boring the crap out of me, get on with it already! and what is with all the reruns this year? i have lost interest in a few shows because they haven't been on.
@novembernicole It's not the writers who set the bar too high, it's the fans themselves. The writers did say that there would be a lot of answers, which I think we've had as of now, but it's the fans who expect everything to be explained. And when they realized that they'd have to wait just a bit longer for them to get those answers, they were angry (hence the 7.8 rating for What Kate Does). As much as it seems to be that way, Lost is not about a bunch of questions that need to be answered. It's about characters who were thrown in a situation that they didn't understand the slightest bit. Now, I'm not saying it's bad to expect answers, just that at the end of the day, that's not what the show is really about.moreless
what about the 100th episode of supernatural, and 200th episode of south park
chargin for episodes?!?! thats just lame
I miss Community & Parks and Recreation. I'd rather watch their reruns than The Office. Thank God new episodes come back this week & last through the finales.
@Ultimate Answer - You are not the first and I'm sure you won't be the last to say Lost fans are "annoying." A better word is "intense." The Lost writers/producers have set the bar very high for this final season, and they are just not cutting it - yet. No, I don't want an entire episode devoted to the whispers, but I would like maybe a four minute discussion on the whole story of them, not just a 30 second chat with "what is that" - "oh, just the dead people who can't move on." For example, when Jacob explained to Richard that the Island is like a cork - that was a discussion with a big reveal in it, lasting longer than 30 seconds, but not taking up the entire episode. So question and answer if fine with me, just let it last longer than a few seconds and do it with some sincere conversation. If that's ok with you, Mr. Know It All on Lost Fans.moreless
Yeah, I didn't like the whispers reveal. It felt too much like it was ust thrown in there, as a last minute addition to the script.
nothing about SPN's 100 episode?
Was this the first week of Top Chef Masters...it was nice to see it back Although I don't seem to watch the channel as much since runway left.
Boy, the Lost writers can't catch a break, huh? Let's be honest here, it doesn't matter HOW they answer the questions, people will find a reason to whine about it. And let's be honest -- how many times have we wanted a character to ask a straight question, and get a straight answer? And when they finally do it, as per usual, people start whining. God, Lost "fans" are annoying.
Agree with all but you forgot Justin bieber's singing in the hell section.
I loved Robert Englund on Bones this week. He was awesome as the creepy janitor Mr Buxley.
Oh, so you didn't like how they answered the Whispers? If they had done a whole episode, answering just that, then you'd be saying "Why do they waste time on unimportant mysteries like that?"And you seem to be forgetting how awesome the rest of the episodes was.
justin bieber on snl was the worst
WAY TO GO about putting Glee on both the pro's and con's list, you're so right :D
i just went to abc family they arent charging for anything
Yes, missing the 100th episode of Supernatural is not cool. It should most definitely be on this list of SWELL!
What's happening to NBC? Do they wanna go out of business on purpose?
Damages was awesome, as usual. Criminal Minds was a little gory, as usual. Loved it when Phil Mickelson won the Masters! Lost had several things going on, including a death, a love connection, a hit and run, someone thrown in a "dungeon," and of course the very brief explanation of the whispers. The reveal of what the whispers really are was not that shocking - kind of suspected that for a while. I hope Lost does not answer other remaining questions with such quick and flippant answers during a 30 second conversation. It makes it seem not important when they do it that way, like why were we even wondering about this for the past 6 years? The finale just needs to hurry up and get here.
You missed this weeks 100th episoe of Supernatural, because it was awesome.
