TV.com's Top 100 Everything of 2009: 30-21

Here at TV.com, we take our year-end list-making very seriously. So as another year comes to a close, we present to you our second annual TV.com Top 100, the massive 10-part list of the year's most awesome TV happenings. As always, there were huge, mind-blowing events and tiny, heart-wrenching moments. Phenomenal send-offs and welcome hellos. Incredibly well-written plots and some really great, totally-not-annoying characters. After 365 days of watching TV, here's what we loved the most.

We're posting 10 items each weekday through January 1, so check back often to see what made the cut!

30. Parks and Recreation steps it up

In its second season, the show has become a satire of local politics, singing with sly, subtle humor. It's almost enough to make us forget about that painful first season.

29. Lie to Me's "Honey" episode

We're all pretty jaded when it comes to TV "nail biters," but the hostage situation in this one had us hyperventilating.

28. Jon Stewart v. Anyone

Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, the Mad Money guy, CNBC... you all got owned. Why anyone would even think of taking on J-Stew is beyond us. (Watch the video of Stewart v. Cramer)

27. Josh Holloway steps up his acting game on Lost

He was once a prickly S.O.B. who we hoped would get seriously injured. But now we'd follow him straight into the Smoke Monster's house. Sawyer's fifth-season move to the left-behinds' leader seemed way too natural, and it's because of Holloway.

26. Will Arnett and David Cross, reunited

In The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, Arnett reprises Gob's asshole-ness and Cross acts nothing like Tobias. Much profanity. Much fun.

25. Kanye West: the interruption heard 'round MTV

I'm sorry, and I'mma let you finish, but Kanye's awards-speech interruption of Taylor Swift was the 26th best thing on TV of the year.

24. Louis CK rants on Conan O'Brien

"Did you partake in the miracle of human flight, you noncontributing zero?!"

23. The way Dexter's Deb says "motherf**k"

She should take out a trademark.

22. Craig Ferguson's "Why Everything Sucks" monologue

Just watch it, you'll see.

21. TV when we want it

This was the year that the digital video recorder and on-demand services came into their own, allowing us to reclaim our social lives and enjoy TV-watching marathons on Sundays.

I have such a funny crush on Ferguson. He's just so quirky and brilliant.Lie To Me is outpacing all the old cop shows for me. Bones is still awesome and Castle has shot to the top.

Jon Stewart and the whole Daily Show team were incredible in '09! Lie To Me's second season has been amazing. 'Honey' was the best episode since 'Blinded.' Tim Roth's acting ability is continuing to astound us all.

I totally agree with Louis CK. Love people who say things the way they really are and not sugar coat things to be politically correct. Its going to get to the point that we will have to use hand signals so we don't offend anyone.
