Here at TV.com, we take our year-end list-making very seriously. So as another year comes to a close, we present to you our second annual TV.com Top 100, the massive 10-part list of the year's most awesome TV happenings. As always, there were huge, mind-blowing events and tiny, heart-wrenching moments. Phenomenal send-offs and welcome hellos. Incredibly well-written plots and some really great, totally-not-annoying characters. After 365 days of watching TV, here's what we loved the most.
We're posting 10 items each weekday through January 1, so check back often to see what made the cut!
40. 10 Things I Hate About YouMostly because it didn't ruin the movie. The show's characters are the same on paper, but the storylines were altered to avoid simply copying the teen flick. And Lindsey Shaw was magnificent. |
39. Tom DeLay on Dancing With The Stars(Srsly?!) It was carnivalesque, particularly when he wore gaudy circus-inspired outfits. |
38. Kristen WiigShe's one of the only parts of Saturday Night Live that's still worth watching. |
37. The Firefly reference on CastleFor Halloween, Castle dressed up as Nathan Fillion's Firefly character (Malcolm) and called himself a "space cowboy." |
36. Oscar's dance moves during Jim and Pam's wedding on The OfficeHis combination of the robot and semaphore flag-waving gave Elaine Benes a run for her money. |
35. Russell on Survivor: SamoaRussell playing the second immunity idol was one of the best Survivor moments ever. |
34. Neil Patrick Harris hosting the EmmysHe was the best part of a show about the best parts of TV. |
33. Enver GjokajWhether he's playing a gay serial killer, a suave businessman, an Italian art dealer, or tech-geek Topher, Enver always left the rest of Dollhouse's cast in the dust. This guy has a future. |
32. The "That's racist!" bit on CommunityThe single funniest exchange from any comedy this season. |
31. Curb Your Enthusiasm's Seinfeld reunionIt gave us the Seinfeld finale we always wanted. |

Loved the Firefly shout out on Castle and of course anything Supernatural.
Gjokaj is really not that great... sure they give him a lot to do and who else could they rely on with Dushku's lackluster lead but he plays everything the same way... like a gayish dandy...
I hope there will be the Tiva moment in the bathroom, or at least one of them! hehe
The Castle Halloween episode with the Firefly reference was awesome!
Personally i find wiig to be annoying and repetetive
Tghis list must be made by one of those 'critics' that is getting payola from NBC. Putting the unwatched, unfunny shows 30rock & park and recreation on this list SIX times and there is still 20 to go is RIDICULOUS! This just goes to show you even tv.com doesn't have any class!
I'm definitely with jjab73!!! I was so excited when Castle came out as Mal :) I miss Firefly so much, but Castle is an awesome alternative. I absolutely love that show too. And Enver Gjokaj ... UNBELIEVABLE!!! I've never heard anyone pull off so many accents believably before. He and Echo are both incredible. I hope he goes really far!
i loved the firefly refrence on castle
"32. The "That's racist!" bit on Community"Agreed! :)
Yes for community and russell
#37!!! I squealed like a little fan-girl when I saw the opening of that episode on Castle!! I was sooo happy to see a glimpse of Mal. I really miss him, and the show . At least Castle is a good show, with fun characters, but Firefly was fantastic.
Why is SNL still on television?Nice list.
YAY! For Community, NPH, Enver and The Castle Firefly reference :D

i do not agre about kristen wiig bein the good thing in snl, what bout andy samberg, kenan thompson, and bill hader
Loved the Firefly reference on Castle (even though I've never seen Firefly), and all of Jim and Pam's wedding episode. IMO, NPH hosting the Emmys should be much higher on the list. At least in the top 5.
TV.com staff, must you always use superlatives? ;) That short exchange on Community was funny, but the funniest of any comedy this year? That's going a bit far.
37?
Enver and the Seinfeld reunion is the only thing worth mentioning on this list
Always good to see Community make a list like this. Every line of dialogue this season has been like that.
the firefly cameo was really the only thing worth mentioning on the list
Agree with Kristen Wig...she and Bill Hader are the only ones who make SNL still watchable..
I'm glad that the Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm made it pretty high on the list - it's one of the iconic television events of the decade!
Enver Gjokaj is one of the best parts of Dollhouse. The transformations are incredible, particularly Victor as Topher, that was perfect.
I loved the Firefly reference on Castle!!
