Here at TV.com, we take our year-end list-making very seriously. So as another year comes to a close, we present to you our second annual TV.com Top 100, the massive 10-part list of the year's most awesome TV happenings. As always, there were huge, mind-blowing events and tiny, heart-wrenching moments. Phenomenal send-offs and welcome hellos. Incredibly well-written plots and some really great, totally-not-annoying characters. After 365 days of watching TV, here's what we loved the most.
We're posting 10 items each weekday through January 1, so check back often to see what made the cut!
60. Lem and Phil on Better Off TedTheir interactions, facial expressions, word choices—basically everything about them is hysterical. |
59. Mac vs. PC adsStill so friendly and clever after all these years, the ads have made America's most-likable pitchmen out of Justin Long and John Hodgman. |
58. Titus WelliverThe perennial character actor nailed three of the best guest spots ever: An Irish mob boss on Sons of Anarchy, Jacob's nemesis on Lost, and one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on Supernatural. |
57. InterventionTotally addicting. We were especially astonished by "Linda," the best evocation of manipulative behavior we've ever seen on TV. |
56. The finale of Battlestar GalacticaIt was grand and overly dramatic—and we loved every second of it. A great send-off for one of TV's greatest shows |
55. Lisa Kudrow's wacko Web TherapyThough it was basically an excuse to advertise Lexuses, the series of web shorts was still wonderful and weird. |
54. The SituationYep, that's his name. The Jersey Shore breakout star is so ridiculous he's almost lovable. Almost. |
53. The MLB NetworkA must-have subscription channel for fans, with the best baseball coverage on television. |
52. Al Gore on 30 Rock—againThe former veep's solemn message—that to solve the climate-change problem we must "recycle everything, including jokes"—ended brilliantly when Gore departed Rock Center to save a whale (which is exactly how is first guest appearance ended in Season 3). |
51. The CW's OMG Moment of the YearThere are no words... Well, except "Oh," "My," and "God." |

u don't know about the situation until u see the situation!
the pc and mac ads are great. they make me laugh, even though i know all the info that mac puts out there is fake.
what happened to the rest of volume 4? I only get down to 65?!
#60!!!! Fantastic stuff! Better of Ted is one of the best shows on TV!
none of these are top 100 worthy this list is just sad
That was definitely an OMG moment.
merry boxing day
Battlestar Galactica's finale was unbelievable!!!!!!
Battlestar Galactica's finale blowed. Someone mentioned in the forums that the scene where Adama throws up on himself was what the finale was like, I completely agree. This should not be on the list.
The battlestar finale was awesome, but better viewed if you watch the whole 4th season in sequence without the 4 to 5 month gap in the middle. Then you get the whole concept of the series, which was very grand. I feel for those who cannot get it.
LOVE Lem and Phil.
I'll give you one more chance... if Blood On The Scales isn't in your top 10... then you guys are frankkin' nuts!
I checked this list out to see which of the top 10 spots the Finale of BSG would garner. Since it's outrageously been placed at #56 I guess I can stop checking the daily updates. BSG was an incredible show and the Finale was moving beyond words.
The situation at #54...now that's a situation..
WTF?! The Mac vs. PC ads?!?! Those things are full of so much BS and misinformation I'm surprised they're even allowed to air.
seriously! chad michael murray's expression is priceless!!
was number 51(dog eating a heart) part of the show or somekind of ad? cause it was the weirdest thing i have ever seen
that one tree hill seen makes me CRACK UP every time I see it. Dan is such a tard....and no matter how hard I try to be serious and think 'how horrible' I mean really.... the guy trips...then a DOG grabs it....that is SO random and AWESOME... BEST....SCENE....EVER
The finale of Battlestar Galactica is number 56? Omg, seriously? I can't wait to see 10-1 if that's the case. Battlestar Galactica's finale was legendary and it's on 56. It's outrageous!
Ahahah the dog ate the heart... That's a first ^^Don't know what show it is, but it seems so damn ridiculous that I don't want to see it.
Only two things deserved to be on this list, the rest don't even deserve mention.
