TV.com's Swell-o-vision vs. Hell-o-vision (August 5)

Here's what we thought was out of sight and just not right on television this week...

Swell:

... Louie's particularly good "Oh Louie/Tickets"
The sitcom kitchen scene was a brilliant takedown of laugh-tracked family comedies. And honestly, we've never been so excited to see Dane Cook before—what a great way to address the two comics' real-life conflict.

Louie

... Web Therapy on Showtime
Are any of you guys watching? It's REALLY funny, with sharp writing and great performances. Lisa Kudrow is fantastic, and there are awesome guest stars like Rashida Jones and Lily Tomlin. We may've missed this when it was an actual web series, but now we can't say enough good things.

... These Saved by the Bell and Game of Thrones video games
The Saved by the Bell one is actually playable!

... Sasha and Ricky's Waacking routine on So You Think You Can Dance
Everyone was burning this number so bad, but we actually thought it was a season highlight!

... Alphas passes our four-episode test
A quartet of episodes into its first season, Syfy's newest offering is making a claim for best new summer show.

... Project Runway's Michael Kors
The man is the most hilarious judge on television.

Hell:

... The Bachelorette's dumb "Ashley + JP 4-eva!!" montage
We probably shouldn't be surprised. But mostly we just can't get over the fact that it was set to REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore."

... Jersey Shore Snore
The Season 4 premiere was a total snooze; we can already tell that Italy limited what they could do and where they could do it. The Situation needs room to operate, bro!

Jersey Shore

... AMC's cost-cutting measures
Hey AMC, you know what would REALLY affect your bottom line? Ruining The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.

... The people who run the Oscars
In one week they decided to give Oprah a humanitarian award and name Brett Ratner (of Rush Hour fame) producer of the 2012 broadcast. Will Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan host?
