Here's what was out of sight and just not right on TV this week.
...IFC's Renewal of Portlandia
It's been a while since we've been this excited about a comedy series. We want to see how many wigs they can wear between the two of them.
If this past week's televised Grammys were good for one thing it might be this here blog.
...Nat King Cole
It only aired for a little over a year before it was pulled cause there was no backing. But now you can see them all!
... Lost's Ben as Andy the bug guy (with Asperger's!) on Parenthood.
Michael Emerson probably won't play a romantic leading man... ever, but that's okay with us. We hope he sticks around to be a mentor for Max, but he's probably got an island of bugs to get back to.
...Sesame Street's Telly, Cookie Monster, and Elmo as Quickfire Judges on Top Chef
Elmo told Antonia her chocolate cookies looked like cow chips.
...Pierce Hawthorne's rude behavior.
Will TV's best comedy writers be able to save this Community character after what he did in the last episode? We hope so. (Chevy Chase was great, though.)
...Lady Gaga's Egg Situation
Gaga's beginning to take the fun out of shock value.
...Another boring leading man for CBS
Mad Love: Like a girl as fine as Sarah Chalke would ever go for a guy like Jason Biggs. Between his character and Ted from HIMYM, the stud-o-meter for CBS comedies isn't registering much at all.
...The Chastity Bono joke on Mr. Sunshine
That's just poor taste.
...The Approval Matrix on Bravo
It's like Best Week Ever but with the talking heads on a couch. Some things are best left in print.
