Here's what we thought was out of sight and just not right on TV this week.
... The return of AMC's Mad Men Yourself
The slick avatar-generator is back, complete with new outfits and accessories; we've already wasted hours and hours playing with the damn thing.
... The first two episodes of Louie
Phenomenal, right? We love that the show's so raw and doesn't feel pressure to tie things together in the end. The second episode ended so hastily, but was so perfect.
The scene between Bill and Lorena was one of the sickest, most twisted (literally!) things we've ever seen on television—and it was soooooooo True Blood.
... John Hodgman's "Soccer a.k.a. Football Shuffle" on The Daily Show
... The launch of HuluPlus
We want our free TV!
... The cancellation of Party Down
Another great, axed before its time.
... Larry King's retirement
He may be older than dirt, but he did make some compelling television. And the thought of Piers Morgan or Ryan Seacrest taking over for him makes us gag.
... The news that Janeane Garofalo has joined CBS' Criminal Minds spinoff
We like her better as an indie standup comic.
