's Swell-o-vision vs. Hell-o-vision (July 16)

Just because it's summer time doesn't mean that all of TV sucks. Only 99 percent of it sucks. BUT! We've somehow found five things about television that we did like this week. And we were able to cut down what we didn't like to a mere five. Don't forget add your own highlights from the week in the comments section, below.

Cool like air conditioning:

... Work of Art workin' it
The show seems to be pitting the trained pretentious artists against the self-trained "blue collar" (and pretentious) artists, and the Miles-bashing is contagious. Erik got one thing right before he was eliminated on Wednesday: Miles is a pussy.

... The Hills' final scene in the series finale
It was actually... dare we say... brilliant.

... Children's Hospital on Adult Swim
The bizarre new Grey's Anatomy parody from Rob Corddry is freakishly hilarious.

... Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and Paul Rudd at the ESPYs
A hole in one touchdown slam dunk goal service winner home run for comedy.

... Pretty Little Liars' awesome homecoming episode
(Did someone DIE?)

Seven days straight of triple-digit temperatures:

... John Stamos doing cocaine with strippers and underage girls?!
NO! Thank God that girl was convicted of extortion! (But secretly we wouldn't be surprised.)

... The Big Brother saboteur is already out of the game
So much for the supposed season-long plot twist.

... Futurama's outdated Da Vinci Code parody
Why now?

... Paul getting eliminated on The Next Food Network Star
He was the only reason we watched! Because he was so horrible!

... This Intervention-with-a-laugh-track video
Zach Galifianakis said Intervention with a laugh track would be the funniest thing on TV, and it probably would be if Zach did it. But whoever made this video fell really short on the execution.
