It's the Memorial Day weekend edition! Holla! Here's what we thought was out of sight and just not right on television this week...
... Oprah's final show
Just Oprah in front of a camera, explaining what she's been trying to do these past 25 years: help us love each other a little more. Awwww... we're sure it worked somewhere.
... HBO GO showing others how it's done.
The newest episode of Game of Thrones (which airs this weekend) is already available, AND you can watch every episode of almost every HBO series, including the old ones. Deadwood! Rome! Six Feet Under! Non-subscribers are really missing out. This is how you do on-demand!
... Frances Conroy is returning to TV... in American Horror Story
Ever since the finale of Six Feet Under, we've missed this amazing actress. But now she's been cast in FX's new pilot from the creators of Glee.
... The last scene of last week's Game of Thrones
[Spoiler alert!] One of the series' biggest D-bags (and there are many) finally got to wear his golden crown. Perhaps he should have been more specific when he demanded one, but we're glad he wasn't.
... Jon Hamm will direct the season premiere of Mad Men
If Matthew Weiner lets Jon Hamm ham it up the way he Jon Slattery do slapstick, we'll be in for a good episode. It's still too bad we won't see it until next year, though.
... There's nothing on TV!
We've entered the dead zone, folks: The "official" TV season is over, and the reality onslaught is coming in hot. Thank god for cable and Netflix, right?
... The Killing is killing our patience
Did we really have to spend all that time chasing someone whodidntdunnit?
... San Francisco overshadowing Oakland in the SYTYCD premiere
Even though the auditions took place at Oakland's Paramount Theater, the show barely even mentioned the Bay Area's "other city." That's a straight-up diss to a city that already has an inferiority complex.
... Justin Bieber's $25,000 Stewie necklace
How you uh, how you comin' on that necklace you're designing? Huh? Gotta a big, uh, big pile of spare diamonds there? Gotta, gotta nice little clasp you're working on there? Huh? Gotta, gotta conspicuous need to flaunt your riches? Huh? This is why children should not have money.
... Lee DeWyze and Nigel Lythgoe's Twitter war
It started with the Idol EP not inviting last year's America Idol to sing at this year's finale. That begat a tweet ping-pong war between the two. Awkward and petty.
... The Winchesters' treatment of an angel
How about showing Castiel a little more respect and trust, Sam and Dean? We're team Castiel all the way. Especially now that he's God. Kneel before the trenchcoat!
Just stop it, before NBC greenlights a two-hour edition of Celebrity Planking. (Though Damon Lindelof's hatch coffee table IS pretty cool...)
What made your list of TV loves and hates this week?
