UPN started Party, and now it ends it

UPN announced it is pulling Get This Party Started, a reality show about party planners, from its schedule for the rest of the February sweeps period. The network didn't say if the show would return to finish out the season.

Get This Party Started featured Kristin Cavalleri, from MTV's hit reality show Laguna Beach, and cohost Ethan Erickson as they helped needy people plan parties. The show averaged less than a million viewers for its first two episodes and will be replaced by a film and repeats of the series Girlfriends.

UPN is in a period of transition since announcing its merge with The WB to form a new network, The CW, and the fate of many shows is unknown. Executives for The CW contacted its affiliates for the first time this week but offered no specific details as to their plans.

Yeah. Thanks UPN. You stopped showing the show right when our episode was to be aired. Its ok, the groom to be walked three days after filming anyways. So much for fairy tell endings huh. Next time do a reality show on scorned women, id love to head that.

What would the needy people wear to their party...garbage bags aren't in fashion since last season. Can't we, I don't know, get them food and medical care maybe instead of some bad DJ-ing?

Has to have been one of the lowest rated series of all time, but that's what the network head deserves for thinking that a girl from a show that gets two million viewers on MTV could possibly earn ratings higher than that.

The last time I saw Ethan Erickson he was on Guiding Light. He said he was leaving the show for bigger and better things. So much for bigger and better.
