Jane Badler has been cast in Neighbours
Jane, who played the rodent-eating alien Diana in 1983 cult show V, will star as Diana Marshall in the Aussie soap.
The actress, who has lived in Melbourne for 20 years, starts filming next week.
She will appear on air in late June in Australia, and later in the year in the UK.
A soap spokeswoman said Jane's character "could rival the villainous alien Diana".
She added: "We're told there are no rodents involved in Badler's scenes - yet."
