Canadian actress Amanda Walsh has landed the female lead in the CBS comedy pilot The Big Bang Theory.
The project revolves around two brilliant theoretical physicists (Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons) who meet a beautiful party girl (Walsh) who shows them how little they know about real life.
The role was recast after the show's table read Thursday. It was originally set to be played by Iris Bahr.
For Walsh, the casting is in second position to ABC's midseason comedy Sons & Daughters. She recently finished a small role in the DreamWorks feature Disturbia and next appears in New Line Cinema's Full of It.
