Walters: Last Oscar show the best

Barbara Walters will talk to Sandra
Bullock and Mo'Nique for her last
special

The US TV journalist and talk show host will sit down with Oscar nominated actresses Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique for her last special Academy Awards show, which she's been doing for over 20 years.

The 80-year-old said she recognises the special has become a tradition for TV viewers.

"I'm kind of sad, too," she said, "but television has changed. Some nominees have just been in one movie. It's a different time, and I'd rather we left when people say, 'Weren't they wonderful?' than they said, 'Oh, I've seen that.' I want the memories to be fresh."

Barbara insisted that stopping her Oscars special doesn't mean she's done with TV.

"I am not retiring!" she said. "I will still be doing the 10 most fascinating people, I will still be on The View, which I love. I will still be doing pieces for ABC News."
