Watch a First Look Trailer for ABC's Missing (VIDEO)

Once famous for being Lost, ABC will soon be going Missing. The network has high hopes for the upcoming midseason drama, which continues the trend of putting an empowered woman front-and-center. In Missing, Ashley Judd plays a CIA-operative-turned-soccer-mom who gets back to her spy roots when she runs off to Italy in search of her missing son.

The first real trailer for Missing has leaked online, and if it's any indication, the show will involve a lot of action and a lot of Ashley reminding us that she's a mother who will do anything to find her son. (Apologies for the low quality; as soon as we find a better version, we'll throw it in here.)

I got one important lesson out of this trailer: Don't be related to Becca Winstone (Judd)! Her husband blows up and her son gets kidnapped. That's why CIA agents shouldn't have families. One thing ABC will have a hard time selling is Judd as an ass-kicking badass who kicks ass. I'm just not sure I see it. And can Judd running after a plane and collapsing into tears on the runway be the midseason's most clichéd scene?

43-year-old Ashley Judd as action hero: Do you buy it?

I like it, and I hope this show will last more than one season. It's not true hat kidnapping can only last one season. If it's smart organized it won't be show about kidnapping. I loved how kidnapping turned out in "24" with Bauers' daughter. Maybe this case will be similar?

I like it. I like ass kicking women, and while I might not initially think Ashley Judd as butt kicking mom of the CIA, I can see it. Because I think the point is, she's a mom first, then a butt kicking ex-CIA agent. And as any good mother will tell you, just because you're dainty looking and feminine, doesn't mean you won't put foot to ass for your little boy. I think I may even be excited about this new show. And....at least it's not some reality Kartrashian Jersery Shore mess.

On one hand, it looks like the TV version of Taken, which is a very good thing to me since I loved that movie. On the other hand, while the premise is good, I can't see this show lasting more than a season, maybe two, maximum. I also have a hard time seeing Ashley Judd as a butt-kicking CIA agent. However, I never thought Matt Damon could do the same thing till I saw the Bourne Identity, so this could be very interesting.

You just can't stretch a premise like a kidnapping into a multi-season show. It'll drag too much, I can say that right now. Whatever, I'm gonna go watch Taken now...

MMM...Haven't I seen this already?...with Liam Neeson in it. I really like A.Judd, but it seems predictable. I can tell right now that Sean Bean is not really dead.

He's dead, but he'll be in flashbacks through out the show.

its success depends on the plot , why are they kidnapping the boy , is it related to husbands death , if its random acts , this series wont see a continuation

seeing Ashley in action series at her age is not a big deal , what matters here is the action sequence itself , is over board with CGI and stunt doubles or will she preforming her stunt scenes herself

they should learn from 24 , alias and Nikita

I think this would be great. However, when I think action heroine I just don't see Ashley Judd. In fact if you put the question to me I think she wouldn't even be on my list as a viable action heroine. My first thought in that age range would be Jennifer Garner at 39.

But I think that if someone was going to bring about a TV version of Taken. Which basically is what this is. Why not give it to Sean Bean. I know the in thing right now is strong women based shows. But come on, if you want to put something like this up against a Person Of Interest. POI is going to win every time. Why? Because Jim Caviesal is more believable as a badass than Ashley Freaking Judd.

But seriously I feel bad for Sean Bean. I can see the pitch meeting. "Sean, we have this great role that you will be perfect for, it is a CIA agent, and you are a badass" Sean, "Sounds like a right bloke mate" "And then just when you look really good and award worthy, we kill you off" Sean, "Wanker" Give the man a show, preferably one where he isn't die.

Why does Sean Bean keep dying?? The guy needs his own show!

Now if he was the ex-CIA operative looking for his son and if Ashley Judd got blown up, I would watch it.

He likes roles whee he dies I guess. There's even a video on Youtube that put all his deaths in to one nice package

Haha! Good question. I wonder why he would even accept this role? Doesn't he know he's dangerously close to becoming typecast as the guy who gets killed off? And I completely agree this show would absolutely be watchable if Sean Bean was the ex-CIA operative looking for his son. Don't get me wrong, there's lots of women who could pull off being a badass superspy, just not Ashley Judd.

Unless it turns out that Bean is still alive, and he's actually the bad guy who kidnapped his own son.

Did I just ruin the entire show for everyone?

Aw man, so they blow up sean bean, but they keep old lady as the asskicker? Come on! I might watch the first episode with sean bean, just because he's so awesome, but I just don't see why I would keep watching.

I have a hard time believing this plotline will stretch beyond a season, max. I can't say I'm all that intrigued.

Missing: Ashley Judd does a Liam Neeson.

It has Sean Bean, so I guess I will watch the first episodes. I don't have great expectations though.

I'm not sure if I buy it, but I am willing to check out an episode of this. It isn't like Sean Bean is dressing like a woman in this trying to get a job.
