IFC's indie-cred busted out of its vintage Wrangler plaid snap-button shirt last year with two new original comedies, Portlandia and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. The former gets most of the attention online these days, but the latter, written by and starring David Cross (Arrested Development, Mr. Show), features Will Arnett pushing the FCC's profanity limits. It's an Arrested Development reunion AND a Running Wilde reunion!
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret follows title character Todd Margaret (Cross) as he pathologically lies his way to near success and on-the-mark failure as an American salesman peddling toxic energy drinks in London. Yes, it's sillier than a chatty Buckingham Palace guard in knickers, but Cross is at his best playing a bumbling fool who's continually expanding the ever-deepening hole he's dug for himself.
Season 2 starts this Friday, and to catch you up on what went down in Season 1, IFC enlisted the help of viral-video makers and Taiwanese news outlet NMA (or someone who does a great job at biting their style) to recap the first six episodes.
And in case you like your recaps in traditional, non-Asian-news-Sims-rip-off style:
I know the show airs on Fridays, so DVR it, let the episodes pile up, and plow through them in a weekend! Do we have time for one more video? We do? Alright, let's roll it!
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret returns for Season 2 this Friday, January 6 at 10:30pm on IFC, right after the Season 2 premiere of Portlandia.

Hell yeah, can't wait for the return of this. Love me some DC.
Really? I couldn't tell!
