Had John McCain and Sarah Palin actually won the 2008 presidential election, then this trailer for HBO's upcoming Game Change would have certainly earned its horror movie intensity. Phew. Still, there was no denying there was something wicked at play when Palin first took the podium at the Republican National Convention and delivered the speech that would create a media monster, if not an actual political career. In the lead roles we have Ed Harris as McCain, Julianne Moore as Palin, and Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt, the GOP campaign strategist dubbed the "lord of outrage" by Time magazine. Yes, this looks terrifying, but what's a lot more terrifying is how Palin now looks positively moderate compared to candidates like Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum. And more than terrifying, Game Change just looks great.

It's weirdly fascinating. Like I know I'm not supposed to like it, but I can't look away :P
Also, honestly American Politics are so much more entertaining than Canadian ones. Canadian politicians look like a bunch of kitten compared to American ones.
God, they make it look like Palin's the next Hitler or something. I'm Canadian though so she might be..?
Just wanted to say that I was pretty disappointed when I clicked on the link and it wasn't a Game of Thrones trailer. The first line read "Watch the first trailer for HBO's Game..." and that's as far as I got. What was I suppose to think??
From what I gathered in the newspapers here in Europe it's great that (McCain &) Palin lost. Seriously, why would Julianne Moore even want to portray someone like her?
that's a tv movie, i reckon. but what about sarah paulson's perfomance? i wonder if you, team, know more than us.
Is this a TV movie, or a show? I think it would work better as a movie. That said, WELL cast. Julianne Moore has earned my respect on a number of occasions, but (from the 5 seconds we saw) she looks like she does a good job with Sarah Palin.
