Watch the New Heroes: Reborn Teaser, Featuring HRG, Zachary Levi's New Character, and More (VIDEO)

On Sunday evening, in between ads featuring adorable puppies and dead kids (gee, thanks, Nationwide), NBC took advantage of its huge Super Bowl audience to unveil a new teaser for its upcoming Heroes miniseries, Heroes: Reborn. It may only be 15 seconds long, but it still offers a first look at Zachary Levi's mysterious new character as well as returning fan favorite HRG (Jack Coleman). Take a look:

Oooh, swirly green and purple skies! Mountains! Cold weather! Fur hoods! Binoculars!

Okay, so it doesn't say much, but that's what the comments are for: What do you think it all means?

Heroes: Reborn is expected to debut this summer on NBC.

The Re-boot is a No Brainer ...Avengers making money ...Arrow, Flash doing well ...Everyone is making superhero shows. NBC was like "Hey, didn't we have a top rated Hero Show... what was it's name again?!"

I'm in the minority but I couldn't stand HRG and since he's playing such a major role in the remake, I'm not interested in seeing this.

Can't believe they're rebooting this show. A show that started great (Seasons 1 and 2) and then became unwatchable... Why a reboot and after all this time? Seems like a terrible idea...

Eh. Because Superhero TV shows are making a ton of money right now, and NBC/Universal thought instead of creating a new franchise, they may as well being back one they already own..Heroes. This isn't a bad idea for NBC as a network. For fans of the show to maybe be let down once again? Perhaps. But Kring must've had a really good idea (AND Hopefully a full on Plan this time around) for them to actually being him back into the showrunners chair

I agree with you just halfway, the first half of the first season was great and beyond, the second half was good but not as great as the first half, the season finale was a bit of a disappointment they had these great elements an story lines, they could've and should've done a better job, and starting the second season everything went down the toilet, every season was worse than the last, it was so sad to see that, I stayed till the end but just out of some sort of respect to the great original job, it was kind of like Lost, when you're going to make a TV show and you're gonna tell a story you should know or have an idea about the beginning, middle and the end of the story before you start and not keep making everything up on the road, that is something the writers of Lost learned, and so they asked for an end date after the third season so they could try to make everything coherent (Obviously not that much good job they did) in this matter I guess the perfect example is Erik Kripke with Supernatural seasons 1-5 (The original plan) every seasons answered some questions and raised new ones, as the seasons continue you understand some new things even from the first season and when you get to the fourth and fifth seasons (The true ending for me) you understand the domino effect that started since the first episode. I wish that would have been the case with this show, part of me jumped to the idea of Heroes reborn but when I learned that Tim Kring is attached to this project I new everything was doomed... But then again I heard Jack Coleman would be back and Zach Levi is in and I'm a little bit intrigued again.

I sadly agree. This show was awesome at the beginning and with the writers strike it seemed to just go downhill, it was never able to figure out where it was going.

I am not optimistic about this mini-series, though I am curious to see how they explain the ending of the original show, it seemed to keep going in circles. Personally I thought it would have been better that the future could not be changed and in the end NY just blew up or something and it could have been more about one of the alternate futures where our heroes are just dealing with that. Cause in all the futures the same kinda stuff was happening, there was a massive loss of life, Sylar was at least temporarily in charge and him and Claire always seemed together in some way.

It is a mini-series but how long will that be, does anyone know? I just hope they wrap everything up nicely and don't decide to try and make it into something more.

HRG!!!!! &3 Jack Coleman makes anything 10x more awesome. I really don't care about the plot, powers, etc.

What it means? Nothing, it's far too short. Looks a bit supernatural and Fringe-ish. Normally that would make me excited, but I've just lost all faith in Tim Kring as anything more than a man with a great idea.

I agree also. But at whatever point it started going downhill it went so fast that the only bit I feel confident about holding on to is series 1. Some of the post series 1 stories were sooooo bad.

I agree. David Anders is always good as a villain, and I liked the arc with Parkman's dad. And of course, if the strike hadn't happened, the alternate ending where the virus DOES get out would have been insane ...

All the bad things you can say might be true, but I think we should give this incarnation / sequel a chance before we say it's good or bad. In about 4-5 episodes we'll know if its worth watching.

Yup Sequel but they are going to do Mini web episodes before they air the episodes and they are Prequels to the stories. So much confusion and things we haven't really been told

I love Zachary Levi from his role in Chuck and am interested in seeing what he does with (probably) a more serious role. However I don't trust that the writing will magically revert to season 1 quality. I will watch it but I won't have high hopes, hopefully it will surprise me!

Ah ok thx for the answer.
With how things ended and without a lot of the major character I'm not sure I'll follow it. We'll see.

I wonder if The Aurora is something like The Eclipse 2.0 where it ties their powers to their connection to the Earth or whatever. Anyway, I can't wait for this. I was one of the 10 fans still watching in the end, always hoping for redemption for the series, hopefully Heroes Reborn does the trick. HRG! Zach Levi!

I hope they answer things they raised during the original run that were ignored or never answered. I hope Ali Larter actually drops by for a cameo, she was the most powerful one at the end of the show and that character never really had the chance to develop properly. Or meet the final triplet, make it a new character altogether.

I can't see Zachary as anything but Chuck. If his role in Heroes is a serious one, I will still just be waiting for him to do something goofy.

You mean only-the-first-season kind of marathon, right? Because after that it doesn't deserve to be ever re-watched again. Ever.

If I do re-watch it for this I'll just skip season three like it never existed. Absolutely horrible. Mind-numbingly appalling. Complete %#&$* @^$&@*$& $^#^$ %$&!. Season four 'tried' to make up for it but there's no way it could undo the damage it had done. Loved season 1 and liked season 2 though. High hopes for this.

So clearly Zachary Levi's character is a Spy who's been assigned to take down a Shaman who's superpowers are tied to the aurora borealis and HRG is all like, "where the hell am I??".

F yeah!!! Instead of the eclipse, there's a new power thing going on maybe? The show will have mostly have characters exclusively for 13 episodes. It's for the best though. Better than wait til season 4 when the characters learned their lessons and no longer want to battle or get into drama :/ Die-head fan til the end and looking forward to new, exciting, funny, dramatic, powerful characters, scenarios, and powers!

This show failed by trying to reinvent itself about three times over four seasons. Imo: It will not be salvaged by yet another incarnation...
