Lost producers may have ordered a worldwide blackout on new footage until the show premieres in February, but that hasn't stopped some international networks from devising their own ways to pimp the program.
Spanish television network Cuatro has produced a slick ad promoting its broadcast of the final season of Perdidos (Lost, for you gringos out there), and frankly, it's better than anything we've seen Stateside for Season Six. Borrowing from John Locke's ideas of black and white backgammon pieces, the ad throws Lost's characters onto a chessboard, adds talk of God and destiny, and features a soundtrack courtesy of Radiohead's "Everything in its right place." Let's hear it for weaker international licensing rights!
Lost returns for its final season in the US on February 2 on ABC.

i got the chilllls...and the spanish voice,ayyy!
America is a continent and Americans is people from Argentina to Canada... In North America there are 3 countries... so the people in USA is???
Pues no, no decimos gringos. Si acaso, decimos yankis. :D
Well, I don't know in Spain... But I am Venezuelan, I lived in Colombia, I have been in Argentina, peru, Chile and Panama,,, and everybody says "Gringos"...
Great, GREAT, choice of music for this trailer. Radiohead is great and so is Lost, great combination! :)
Magnifico!
This is very good. Wish they dubbed it in english, no need to change a thing.
An EPIC commercial for an EPIC show. Can't wait!
I can't believe it. We, spaniards, the first people watching anything. Atiende, y encima en Cuatro. :D
Although, Mr. Surette, we don't really call Americans "gringos" in Spain. That is Mexico you're thinking about. Paraphrasing John Oliver, "this message is coming to you with an European accent. Be prepared for words to have a little more authority than usual".
Me neither Danimita, I usually come to tv.com to look for news of my fave shows and today it surprised me to see news that come from Spain. I saw the ad last saturday on Cuatro and I thought it was very very cool!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was inspired by Locke playing backgammon. Life is a stage ? Life is a chess board !
LOVE it!
Really well done. Will be interested to see what Sky does to promote it in the UK.
Very, very, very cool. Creativity wins hands down.
I love how the international networks are taking some initiative.
Very cool. I loved it.
Awsome!!
XO XO
:):):):)
Cool, I'd of never imagined TV.com would put a video from Cuatro XD
Yeah that promo is definitely better than it's english counterpart.
