Watch The Pacific For Free Online

... Are you sick of feeling like an outcast because all your friends are talking about HBO's The Pacific? Because you don't know your Private Leckie from your Sgt. Basilone? Want a virtual vacation on the beautiful island of Guadalcanal? Check out the first chapter of The Pacific FOR FREE over at HBO.com! Standard sign-up requirements apply. [HBO.com]

... Superheroes are so last year. Weird superheroes are the new hotness. SyFy has ordered a pilot of Three Inches, about a man who discovers he can move objects with his mind! But only three inches. He gathers a group of other semi-powered people and the form an adequate fighting force of slightly-more-than-ordinary heroes. [SyFy via press release]

... More SyFy news: Think the network's most famous series is done being mined? Think again. SyFy is looking into expanding the Battlestar Galactica universe into more spin-offs, which currently includes telefilms and Caprica. "It would not necessarily be a traditional series," said an exec. A Cylon dating show, perhaps? [THR]

... Paula Abdul is currently in talks to host a revamp of Star Search from ABC. The original Star Search ran from the early '80s to mid-'90s, and was resurrected by CBS in 2003 before it burst into a flames. But this time it will work! Right? Wrong. [EW.com]

... Spencer Pratt is leaving The Hills for a little while, apparently because he "flipped out" on a female producer and threatened to kill her. If we all chip in to have him launched into space, we can make it happen. Think about it, and get back to me. [US Magazine]

... True Blood has a return date: June 13. Which means you have plenty of time to get down to Hot Topic and refill your supply of black nail polish. [HBO]

... More True Blood news: Actress Carrie Preston (aka Mrs. Benjamin Linus), who plays waitress and ex-husband collector Arlene, will join CBS' The Good Wife for a multi-episode arc. Does this mean Arlene is a goner? Maybe! But probably not. Apparently Arlene isn't in the third book too much, so Preston just has time to kill. But I like "Maybe!" better. Because it's mysterious. Like me. As long as you consider "What will Tim have for lunch!?" mysterious. Will it be a Hot Pocket and ranch dressing or chili straight from the can? Who knows! [EW]

It's impossible to launch them to space their collective egos would weigh them down too much

Pratt isn't worth the fuel it would take to launch him. Now if he took Heidi with him...maybe...
