Watch the Pilot for ABC's Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (VIDEO)

In order to build buzz for its good-looking comedy Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, ABC is calling on the busy thumbs and mouse-clicks of internet savvy TV fans to spread the word. The network has released the show's pilot on Hulu for your advanced viewing pleasure, and all they ask in return is that you tell the world how much you loved it. Unless you hated it, then presumably ABC would like you to keep your mouth shut.

Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, heretofore known as The B---- around these parts, makes its broadcast premiere on April 11. ABC is also planning to post the comedy's next installment on Hulu ahead of its broadcast schedule, targeting April 2 for Episode 2.

We screened an early version of the pilot (when it still held its second title of just Apartment 23) back in July and dug it for the most part. The series follows June (Dreama Walker), a country girl who moves to New York City and ends up rooming with trouble-maker Chloe (Krysten Ritter). James Van Der Beek co-stars as a cartoonish version of himself/a friend of Chloe's. Expect a whirlwind of successful silliness and raunch along the lines of TV's newer comedies aimed at a mid-20s audience.

Here's the pilot via Hulu. Sorry, international users—blame Hulu!

It was all right. It is in the gray area where depending on which way they go it could be great or it could be horrible. Riiter's character (really like Ritter by the way) is crazy enough that it could bring a plethora of random plots to delve into in order to bring the funny. However it will largely depend on June and her battling with Chloe and how that will play out. THe ancillary characters of James Van der Beek and the other girl are funny enough to help the show along. Without being over the top. I like Van der Beek's character, I think it is hilarious and will be interesting to see how they involve him in the various plots without hitting us over the head with the fact that he is him and was on Dawson's Creek. So I will give it a shot. It is better than the newer shows on NBC and New Girl, so we shall see.

It was ok. Not laugh out loud funny but I'll give it a few more tries out of curiosity. Dreama Walker was a little too peppy and wide-eyed. If she can keep up with Krysten Ritter's character like she did towards the end of the episode, it might be worth sticking around for.
