WE cable network married to Sunday nights

Cable network WE: Women's Entertainment said Wednesday that it has given the go-ahead to a pair of wedding-themed series to air as part of its new Sunday night block, "WE's Wild Wedding Night."

They include Platinum Weddings, which focuses on making a wedding fantasy come true for one couple in every episode. The 12-episode, half-hour series will feature event planner Julie Pryor and flower designer Larry Flachs.

The other new show is Bride vs. Bride, a true-life competition series that pits family against family in wedding-themed challenges to win cash and prizes for their upcoming nuptials. The six-episode, hourlong series is hosted by Evan Farmer (TLC's While You Were Out).

In addition, the network has acquired another wedding-themed series, I Do... Let's Eat. The half-hour series focuses on the wedding cuisine of diverse cultures, featuring one couple's wedding in each of the 26 episodes. It's set to debut on WE in June.

The third season of Bridezillas will kick off the Sunday-night block starting June 11 at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT), followed by the premieres of Platinum Weddings on July 23 and Bride vs. Bride on August 6.
