The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards
Special. Following last year's success, Ricky Gervais will once again host the The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which recognise film and television actors and productions. Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, The Good Wife, Mad Men and The Walking Dead will compete for Best Drama Series, while 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, The Big C, Glee, Modern Family and Nurse Jackie duke it out for Best Comedy Series. Will last year's winners -- Mad Men and Glee -- relive their success? The awards ceremony will be preceded by a one-hour live red carpet show.

Airs: 12pm Monday on FOX8, repeated at 8:35pm

2011 Australian Open
Day one of the first round of the Grand Slam of Asia-Pacific starts with the first night session. Presented by Johanna Griggs, this annual event shown internationally features the biggest names in tennis, with Seven providing comprehensive coverage nationally.

Just for Laughs: Montreal Comedy Festival
Special. Following the event that took place in July, this year's television presentation of the Montreal Comedy Festival features local and international comedians with performances by Whoopi Goldberg, Adam Hills, Will Anderson, Danny Bhoy and Bobcat Goldthwait.

The Oprah Winfrey Show
Australian episodes! Most of the world, Sydneysiders especially, will not have forgotten the media circus surrounding Oprah Winfrey's Oz-venture which saw the talk show queen film down under in December. Well, the episodes are ready to air with a two-part special called "Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure" which was filmed live on the steps of the Sydney Oprah Opera House, as well as "Oprah in Australia: Ultimate Wildest Dreams" and "Oprah in Australia: Hugh Jackman, Olivia Newton-John, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Bono".

The Good Wife
Series return. iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove features in this mid-season return as a teen pop star arrested for crashing her car while under the influence. Meanwhile, Peter's campaign hits a snag when the Democratic Committee tells him to drop out of the race.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Series return. Season 12 kicks off with guest stars Joan Cusack and Henry Ian Cusick as Benson and Stabler are called to investigate the case of a missing 10-year-old girl with strict adoptive parents, believed to have run away to meet a man she connected with on the internet. The series is well behind its US air date, with this episode having aired in September, but it still makes for compelling viewing.

The Stafford Brothers
Premiere. This six-part reality series will follow the lives of Australian dance music DJs Matt and Chris Stafford as they embark on their biggest tour to date in the party capitals of Europe.
