What to Watch This Weekend: Korra's Last Episode on TV, Phineas and Ferb Tackle Star Wars, and the Series Debut of Manhattan on WGN America

What to watch on Friday, July 25...

8pm, Nickelodeon
The Legend of Korra
Zaheer’s gang makes its move against Korra in “The Terror Within." Nickelodeon also makes its move against Korra, as the remainder of the much-improved yet ratings-challenged season has been pulled from the on-air schedule and will debut digitally instead. Further details about the shift are expected Friday, when the show hosts a panel at Comic-Con.

8:30pm, Disney
Girl Meets World
Riley opts to hit the school dance rather than join a family tradition on Coney Island in “Girl Meets Father,” forcing Cory to realize that his daughter is growing up. Which, I mean, he should have probably figured out by now since that’s why he’s back on TV and all.

10pm, NBC
Crossbones
Nenna’s escape plan spells danger for Lowe in “Beggarman.” Grave danger, Crossbones episode summary? Is there another kind, Lt. Kaffee?

LATE-NITE:
– Jon Hamm, Brit Marling, and Martha Stewart on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 11:35pm, NBC
– Bradley Cooper and Lisa Joyce on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, 12:37am, CBS

WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING TONIGHT?

What to watch on Saturday, July 26...

8pm, History
World War I: The First Modern War
This four-part series examines the rapidly accelerating military technology that contributed to the cataclysmic nature of the Great War. The first installment focuses on tanks, followed by considerations of aircraft, chemical weapons, and submarines.

8pm & 8:30pm, CBS
Bad Teacher
After her birthday plans fall through in “The Bottle,” Meredith tries to commandeer Kim’s student-teacher exam festivities. Then in “What’s Old Is New,” Meredith and Principal Carl are thrown for a loop when their ex-spouses (Steven Weber and Niecy Nash) visit the school.

MOVIE PREMIERE, 9pm, Syfy
Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark
A huge robot shark fights a huge non-robot shark. Honestly, even if there were any more to the plot than that, would you really need to know?

9pm, Disney
Phineas and Ferb
“Phineas and Ferb Star Wars” finds the boys teaming up with R2-D2 after coming across the plans for the Death Star. In another part of the galaxy far, far away, Perry the Rebelpus battles the diabolical Darthenshmirtz and his sinister Sith-inator.

9pm, Starz
Power
In “Loyalty,” Ghost learns who may have arranged the hits even as Angela hurries to prevent further bloodshed.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 10pm, BBC America
Almost Royal
Poppy has designs on country-pop stardom during a trip to Music City, while a flummoxed Georgie has a nasty run-in with a fish and later meets one of Nashville’s most famous residents.

10pm, Logo
Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23
With no memory of the day before, June must figure out what sort of mischief she got up to while under the influence of Chloe’s herbal relaxant in “Monday June.” In other potentially regrettable revelations, James learns he may have knocked up June’s friend on her wedding day.

What to watch on Sunday, July 27...

SEASON 12 PREMIERE, 9pm, PBS
Poirot
With World War II looming, the superlative Belgian sleuth investigates the murder of a Russian chess grandmaster against the backdrop of espionage and intrigue in “The Big Four.” Sherlock scribe Mark Gatiss helms this latest adaptation of Agatha Christie’s iconic character.

9pm, HBO
True Blood
“Karma” finds Sookie reexamining her relationship with Bill in the wake of a surprising discovery. In Dallas, Eric and Pam strike up a new alliance on their quest, potentially setting up next season’s spin-off Mark Cuban: Monster Hunter.

9pm, Lifetime
Witches of East End
Wendy and Tammy endure a string of less-than-productive meetings in “The Brothers Grimoire.” Elsewhere, Frederick receives old friends from Asgard; and Dash and Killian lay claim to their inheritance.

9pm, BBC America
The Musketeers
Aramis and d’Artagnan guard a young woman and her baby en route to the palace in “The Exiles,” but brigands manage to abscond with the youngster anyway. Dammit, Aramis and d’Artagnan, vous eûtes un travail!

SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, WGN America
Manhattan
John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, and Daniel Stern’s formidable whiskers star in this drama centered on the efforts to develop the world’s first atomic bomb. In the opener, a troubled professors is brought on to help lead the fateful Manhattan Project.

10pm, TNT
Falling Skies
Tom returns to his family and the 2nd Mass in “Door Number Three,” but Lexi’s sudden ailment puts a damper on the reunion festivities. Despite the fact that this is not a medical procedural, I’m going to go ahead and rule out lupus.

10pm, Showtime
Masters of Sex
At a clandestine hotel rendezvous, Virginia discovers the truth about Masters’ unhappy childhood in “Fight.” As for why he would bring a bundle of unhappy childhood slideshows to a clandestine hotel rendezvous, I have no idea.

10pm, FX
The Strain
Eph and Nora pull out all the stops to pull Captain Redfern back from the brink in “Gone Smooth,” while Setrakian enacts his own plan to combat the disease. Meanwhile, a spike in rat attacks can only mean one thing: Fiendish Ninja Turtles adversary the Rat King is on the loose yet again.

10pm, HBO
The Leftovers
Laurie is shaken by a savage hate crime in “Gladys.” Meanwhile, Meg takes on a new role, Matt takes his preaching to the streets, and Kevin takes up an outside offer for help cleaning up Mapleton.

10pm, AMC
Halt and Catch Fire
In “Up Helly Aa,” the team’s efforts and accomplishments are jeopardized by new hurdles, new foes, and a tiny green space alien that only Joe can see. Maybe not that last part, but hey, a guy can dream.

So many shows are kind of depressing and instead of watching them one by one, I'm saving up for a marathon.
