What to Watch Tonight: American Horror Story, Survivor, and Psych

What to watch on Wednesday, December 14...

The TV year's winding down before reruns take over entirely, so let's just thank our lucky stars we've still got SOME good things left (not so fast, Barbara Walters). Here's today's guide to your favorite shows involving ghosts, fake psychics, and/or filthy people:

8pm, CBS
Survivor: South Pacific
It can be argued that the past, oh, six episodes of this season have been pretty boring. That's the problem when a successful alliance systematically eliminates its opponents. But this episode (and Sunday's finale) should be slightly more interesting as we'll see how Coach's alliance crumbles, which Redemption Island outcast will return, and just HOW aglow Whitney and alleged homewrecker Keith will appear on that jury panel.

10pm, FX
American Horror Story
Things get awkward tonight when Ben attempts to take Violet off the property. Later Violet and Tate attempt to rid the Murder House of certain ghosts. Oh and also? Vivien GIVES BIRTH. Yup. Alert the Pope.

10pm, USA
Shawn and Juliet's romantic wine country getaway seemingly goes awry when (a) their hotel room is robbed, (b) a dead body turns up, and (c) the minibar prices are outrageous. Come on, you guys, no big deal. Just bring your own snacks.

9:30pm, ABC
Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011
While Barbara Walters may not yet be at the level where she gets to decide who lives and who dies, she DOES get to decide who is or is not fascinating. This special details her top ten list for 2011. The one thing you should know is that Barbara Walters has a loose definition of "fascinating," as Donald Trump, the Kardashians, Pippa Middleton, and Simon Cowell all made the cut.

The Real World: San Diego
It's been an entirely unmemorable season of binge drinking, homophobia, scream-whispering, and male beauty regimens, but the gang of Real World San Diego Part Deux calls it quits tonight. The finale deals with one last bender/rampage at a charity event, and a follow-up reunion special will gather together all the best bender/rampage clips of the season. See y'all at The Duel!
