What to Watch Tonight: American Horror Story, The X Factor, and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

What to watch on Wednesday, November 21...

8pm, ABC
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Chuck, Snoopy, and the gang take on Turkey Day feasts and the story of the Mayflower. As Peanuts holiday specials go, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is sort of the black sheep, not as fondly remembered an annual tradition as its Halloween and Christmas counterparts. So really, doesn’t that make this the Charlie-Brownest Charlie Brown special of them all?

8pm, Fox
The X Factor
The finalists perform live in a two-hour installment. Who will move on? Who will be eliminated? Will Britney Spears and Demi Lovato sneak out early to get a head start on “Blackout Wednesday”? Tune in to find out!

8pm, AMC
Gone with the Wind
See an Old Hollywood masterpiece the way it was meant to be seen: crammed into a whopping five-hour block on basic cable, punctuated by roughly 38,000 commercials for The Walking Dead.

10pm, NBC
Chicago Fire
A meth lab explosion is at the center of “Two Families.” Everyone out there looking for material to fuel your Chicago Fire/Breaking Bad crossover fanfics, this episode is your manna from the gods. Plus there's gonna be a gang shooting and a 10-car pileup, too!

10pm, FX
American Horror Story: Asylum
The backstory of Bloody Face is revealed in an episode titled “The Origins of Monstrosity.” So yeah, we can probably assume the mangled specter of Charles Darwin will be traipsing about the premises this week, haranguing everyone about unnatural selection in ghoulishly discordant tones.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Key & Peele
Tonight the sketch-comedy duo sets their satiric sights on something called Twilight, which Wikipedia assures me is some sort of vampire-related popular-culture phenomenon. I shall tune in to find out more, because I am completely unaware of any such literary or cinematic work. What was it called again? Twilight? Do people have feelings about this?

Will Ferrell and Tenacious D on Conan, 11pm, TBS
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kris Jenner, and Dan Cummins on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, 11:35pm, NBC
Scarlett Johansson, Willie Nelson, and Gary Clark, Jr. on Late Night With David Letterman, 11:35 am, CBS
Tim Allen, Manny Pacquiao, and Flo Rida on Jimmy Kimmel Live, 12am, NBC
Amy Poehler and Alicia Keys on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, 12:37am, CBS
Tom Hanks and Phil Hanley on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, 12:37am, CBS
