What to Watch Tonight: Arrow, AHS: Coven, and the Premieres of Workaholics and Broad City

What to watch on Wednesday, January 22...

8pm, PBS
Nature
Sorry, broadcast networks and highfalutin cable programming, but clearly y’all take a backseat tonight to PBS and its spotlight of a coyote-wolf hybrid called the coywolf. In a related story, my current life project is now to make “The Coywolf” stick as my new nickname.

8pm, NBC
Revolution
Willoughby needs help, you guys, and Gene, Rachel, and Charlie are gonna step up! Why, with a little pluck and elbow grease in “Captain Trips,” they’ll hold the best darn bake sale this town has ever seen!

8pm, The CW
Arrow
Ollie’s ill at ease when Laurel asks his alter ego to investigate Blood—and she’s not feeling so hot herself when the sinister alderman strikes back. Elsewhere in “Blind Spot,” Sin wants to take Roy’s new superpowers out for a spin, which may or may not prove as dirty as I’m making that sound.

8pm, ABC Family
Melissa & Joey
In “Independence Day,” Mel advocates taking it slow as she and Joe embark on their new romance. But their cautious pace winds up grinding things to a halt instead.

8pm, ABC
The Middle
A bus-driver strike has Frankie schlepping some kids to school and back in “The Carpool,” which is bad news for any of those kids who care about getting to class on time. Meanwhile, Sue angles to accompany Mike to an IU basketball game, and Axl bones up on the cosmos to court a struggling astronomy student.

8:30pm, ABC
Suburgatory
“Victor Ha” finds a foster child moving in with the Shays to fill the Ryan-shaped hole in Sheila’s and Fred’s hearts. Naturally, their not-yet-departed daughter Lisa is nonplussed and sets out to expose the new addition as a con artist.

9pm, NBC
Law & Order: SVU
The serendipitously timed “Jersey Breakdown” leads the team to possible deep-seated corruption in the Garden State when Barba and Connie Rubirosa pursue an investigation into sex trafficking.

MINISERIES FINALE, 9pm, Discovery
Klondike
In the third and final part, Bill has the killer in his sights and vengeance on his mind, while his gold becomes the Count’s goal.

CONCLUSION, 10pm, PBS
Chasing Shackleton
Jarvis and the team near the mountains of South Georgia in the final leg of their journey, braving harsh climes and physical breakdowns along the way.

10pm, FX
American Horror Story: Coven
What’s this? Cordelia’s vision foisting a fateful forewarning? The fortunes of the feminine faction—fractured? Can their new gifts help the witchy women forestall this frightful future? Tune in to “Go to Hell” and find out—same Coven-time, same Coven-channel!

10pm, ABC
Nashville
Scarlett’s star is on the rise, with all the fame and strain and live Zac Brown duets that entails. She’s not the only one in team-up mode in “Just for What I Am,” as Gunnar gets a call from Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, and Rayna enlists Deacon’s help penning a sorely needed hit single.

SEASON 4 PREMIERE, 10pm, Comedy Central
Workaholics
Montez’s wife is expecting, so why wouldn’t the fellas throw her a baby shower in “Orgazmo Birth”? What could possibly go wrong?

SERIES PREMIERE, 10:30pm, Comedy Central
Broad City
Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer bring their web series to TV, portraying the misadventures of two twenty-something best buddies in the Big Apple. “What a Wonderful World” opens with the duo searching for some quick scratch to snag tickets to a secret Lil Wayne concert.

SERIES PREMIERE, 10:30pm, A&E
Wahlburgers
Entourage mastermind Mark Wahlberg and boy bander-turned-TV cop Donnie Wahlberg join their restaurateur relatives to run the eponymous Boston burger joint. “Who’s Your Favorite?” introduces head chef Paul, matriarch Alma, and the real-life Johnny Drama as the family debates expansion plans.

The best Wednesday show, TLC's My Strange Addiction, really needs to be on this list. What a train wreck-addictive mess of ridiculously strange goodness.
