What to watch on Tuesday, March 6...
Just when Monday was starting to get fun, it's suddenly Tuesday! Thanks a lot, week. You're an incorrigible trickster! Anyway:
SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 9:30pm, Fox
If you had a vague recollection that Breaking In was canceled last year, don't worry, you're not going crazy. It was definitely canceled at one point! But this reasonably well-liked Christian Slater vehicle returns tonight for a whole new season. In tonight's premiere, the security agency is bought by a slightly unhinged new boss who looks and acts like Megan Mullally.
Raylan cannot catch a break and tonight a shocking murder will force him to deal with some of the skeletons in his closet. Elsewhere Boyd decides to cross Harlan's shady sheriff, because he's Boyd and that's what Boyd does.
Tonight Nick accidentally hurts his back playing touch football, but his lack of health insurance leads Jess to decide to take him to her OB/GYN friend for help. That is not the appropriate kind of doctor, Jess!
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, Lifetime
Prank My Mom
No, it's not a Tim & Eric sketch, it's a REAL SHOW. Prank My Mom is Lifetime's newest lady-based reality show, and in it, kids get up to some hidden-camera shenanigans and moms are the targets. In tonight's premiere the pranks involve shopping, internet dating, and visiting sperm banks because WHAT? Cut it out, Lifetime.
In "Doctor Emmet Cole," the crew discovers the titular missing character's camera satchel somewhere in the jungle and guess what they find inside of it? You guessed it, MORE TAPES. Cool, can't wait to watch more footage of people watching footage. Hopefully one of the tapes includes footage of Emmet watching footage so that we get the full triple-decker of boring.
SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10pm, Science
Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman
Sometimes it seems like the only show I care about anymore is Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman. You know? It's not just his soothing voice and soulful, infinitely benevolent glare: The science is really interesting, too. For example, in tonight's season premiere, President Freeman (fingers-crossed!) addresses the question "Will we survive first contact?" It is a GOOD question and quite frankly I would like to know the answer.
