What to Watch Tonight: Bunheads, The Closer, and Warehouse 13

What to watch on Monday, July 30...

Should we even bother with "normal" TV to watch this week, or can we all just agree that the Olympics are where it's at? Tonight's primetime coverage of the 2012 Games includes men's gymnastics, men's synchronized platform diving, and the highly anticipated men's swimming 200m freestyle final. But if you're not into that this other stuff will be on, too:

9pm, ABC Family
Bunheads
Tonight's episode of ABC Family's best new drama is called "What's Your Damage, Heather?" ... which is more than enough of a reason to check it out. But if you must know what's on the docket, plot-wise, a flood at the dance studio leaves the dressing rooms too soggy to use and leads to all sorts of trouble when the girls start changing for class in Michelle's home.

9pm, TNT
The Closer
Brenda investigates the murder of a priest, and the case creates tension between Brenda and Chief Pope. Meanwhile, Brenda's parents return as her father continues his cancer treatments.

9pm, Syfy
Warehouse 13
This week's case involves (flash?) mobs of angry people suffering some sort of hallucination... but from the looks of the promos it seems like Claudia will also be continuing her little "mission."

10pm, E!
Opening Act
Tonight a Denver-based salesman named Jono gets to open for Jason Mraz. You go, Jono!

10pm, TNT
Perception
Tonight's episode takes Pierce back to a time when newspapers were a commonly used plot device on crime procedurals, as he tries to crack a code left in a newspaper by someone who may be connected to a murder.

I'll be watching The Closer, Warehouse 13 and Preception. Not really into the Olympics so I'm glad the other networks still show new shows instead of repeats.

Am gonna be watching The Closer, although for a series in its final days they haven't been pulling out all the stops to send it on its way

I think that's because they aren't really ending it, they're changing lead actresses and the title to "Major Crimes", but it's the same production team, same actors, same everything else, so it's not a huge deal to them.

I randomly sat across the aisle on a plane from a woman whose 2 daughters are on the swim team, she was really excited. But for the most part, no me gusta the olympics :( If I wanted to watch other people playing sports, I would go to a game, not watch it on tv.

Is Hell's Kitchen actually new? I don't think it is.

Somebody didn't do their homework, or they'd know that Phelps isn't in the 200m freestyle.

And also......am I a terrible person for not caring (at all) about the Olympics? I mean, don't get me wrong.....I KNOW I am a terrible person already......but I am wondering if this makes it worse somehow....hmmm......

Some people aren't into sports. It's no big deal. I'd be more concerned if you didn't care (at all) about Teen Wolf.

Some Olympics during the day.

Teen Wolf, Alphas, and maybe Perception later on. Craig Ferguson, too, if the LLS is new.

TEEN WOLF!

Rest in peace, Mrs. Argent. You were the scariest fictional Mother I have ever seen on a television show. I will miss you, and your incomparable facial expressions very deeply.

Also: Alpahs and The Olympics. (Did anybody catch the qualifying sessions for Women's Artistic Gymnastics yesterday? I could hardly watch! There is so much pressure on those young women. One slip, fall, stumble, or balance check can mean all the difference. It's so brutal! But I love it! ... Did I just lose what little masculinity I had?)

Rhythmic gymnastics representative: "you need an adjective for the other gymnastic or people will get confused"

'Artistic' gymnastics representative: "how about ACTUAL gymnastics?"

I was so confused when I reading the summary on my TV guide.

Me: 'what the hell is artistic gymnastics?" Then I turned it on, "oh it's what 98% of people would just call gymnastics."

Stupid rythmic gymnastics.
